Tea is a drink, but Tea can also be referred to as the main evening meal. Tea drinking is optional with it  "Afternoon tea" is a cup of tea / sandwich / cake / scone sort of thing at some awkward time in between lunch and dinner!!

A sandwich is fairly generic, if it's 2 pieces of bread with a filling it's a sandwich. Sometimes called a butty. A round of bread usually has a regional name... roll, batch, cob, barm, breadcake, bap, stotty, bridie, etc. I call it a cob!! Then you get the different types of bread that tend to be in the bakery side of the…

Jelly is a wobbly gelatine based dessert mostly aimed at kids (Jello). Although the term is sometimes applied to a soft / clear preserve that is more likely to be used with savoury food or meat. Soda = Pop to me, cookies are biscuits (it's only the chocolate chip cookie that is known as a 'cookie' over here)... although I…

Salted caramel galaxy is my Easter treat this year. I have chocolate daily, but I keep it to a more reasonable limit (I was particularly bad with chocolate prior to starting on mfp). I love reeses peanut butter cups, they're relatively new to the UK.

Pepsi max cherry, vimto zero or fanta orange zero for me. I drink sugar free by preference, but it has been a convenient low calorie option since I started logging. Also, furry teeth feeling from sugary drinks = yuck.

Been logging for 35 days now and my weight loss hasn't been consistent... I'm 9lbs down overall though.
-
I've sent you a request  always looking for active friends and I try to like / comment most days... I boot people who aren't mutually supportive though!!

I don't tend to get hungry after my evening meal, but my husband regularly ate 'supper' in to his mid-20's and cannot sleep if he's hungry. If you're genuinely hungry save some calories for the evening - 100 calorie or less snacks - fruit or vegetables, an egg, some meat slices, yogurt pot, hot chocolate? Or eat your…

I'm ok with most fish, but not as fond of prawns / shelled seafood. The fresher the better as far as seafood or fish is concerned - very fresh fish smells and tastes pretty mild. I check the eyes before purchasing - if they're bright and clear ill be more inclined to buy. The prep doesn't bother me, I used to gut / clean /…

5ft2" and I have approx 50lbs to lose. I'm aiming to lose most of it by March 2017  I've been logging for a month now and have mostly stayed on track... expecting a bit of a water gain this week though!

My friends wouldn't behave like that. Cut them short with the doctor / bmi thing if they are being really insistent, change the topic when they start talking about it. Thank them if they are well-meaning, but don't get involved in the topic of your diet or weight loss unless someone is genuinely asking for advice. It's not…

Not sure about healthy but if its a decent malty / seedy / whole grain sort of bread I'm happy. We make our own a lot and found a flour called 'Cotswold crunch' recently - it tastes and smells absolutely delicious.

Hefty calories for the lack of food in my opinion. If it works for you though that's great

Omnivore, but I eat a lot of meat-free meals. It just suits me to eat that way.
-
First week was most faffy as I had no database of commonly eaten food, it wasn't exactly a chore to add them in though... like many people my eating habits are a little repetitive because it's convenient. Logging works, so it's been worth sticking with.

You can get spray butter? I liked glooping Nutella over vanilla ice cream... that said, it's not something I did regularly 'before' because we don't usually keep Nutella in the house. We have almost finished a large jar that a friend got me for Christmas and we have both been pretty good with it.

I can only keep a pizza that low in calories if I use a wrap for the base - even then a lean ham, pineapple and tomato with 40g cheddar comes in at just over 400. I'd re-measure.

Not WW, but slimming world made me realise that calorie counting isn't the devils option!!! That said, I still use their recipes and tips to my advantage so it was worthwhile trying.

I'm a foot shorter than you and eat that much. How can it be 'cheating' if you're opting to lose the weight slower? It's realistic, more likely to stay off long-term, you get to eat a bit more, better mental / physical adjustment. If you're patient and persistent you'll reach your goals, doesn't matter if it takes a few…

Adjust your mindset to slow and steady, then stick with what you're doing. I used the mfp recommended calories for my first week, because you have to start somewhere (I felt "too low" would be more sensible than "too high" from a calorie POV given I am trying to lose weight) and I have since increased my calories to try…

Noticing already - feeling less tired and less bloated, my clothes aren't as tight. I have a way to go (aiming to lose another 40lbs at least), but feel much better already

I was going to suggest hay fever or allergy if it's not 'clearing' or doing much else!

I ask my husband to keep the snacks I like on the top shelf (he can reach easily... I'm short). Thankfully we have different snacking tastes for the most part. Ultimately you control what goes in to your mouth, but if you can't change what comes in to the house try to establish new food habits for yourself, work out your…

I love coconut water, fresh is best but bottled is fine. I don't buy it often though, too expensive!!
-
Keep doing what you're doing, find your support with friends, other family members or even mfp and don't go to your mum for praise or validation. Almost everyone will seek approval from their parents, but parents don't always act like you want / expect them to - it sounds like your mum has some issues of her own (she may…

Normal unfortunately  it will drop again, personally my weight doesn't drop again until around day 4.

I do better if the chocolate is in the house, if we don't have any it makes me want it more. I keep a small stockpile that has biscuit bars, chocolate, full-sugar and sugar-free sweets. I keep them in an old biscuit tin so they're not on display (eating through them slowly).

I'm in the UK, Midlands based

Weekly weigh on. I personally don't see the point of weighing daily. I don't take my measurements, I have a pair of jeans and a top that are too small - I will periodically try them and take a pic so I can compare to the last one.
