Someone on here recommended Built Protein bars and I tried them. I found one flavor that I really love and that's the salted caramel. It's like a gooey candy bar. It is low sugar (sweetened with sugar alcohols), Low cal (110 cal) and reasonable protein (15 grams). When I first ordered them I was really disappointed because…

Always makes me feel much better. Just my experience.

Echinacea 1200 mg. I take two in the morning and two at night. Vitamin C 1000 mg twice daily. Zinc 50 one a day. These are more effective as a preventative before it takes hold but will reduce symptoms just like any cold tablet. Be careful if your digestion is iffy. Echinacea and Vitamin C can loosen bowels. Vitamin C can…

Often we want to lose weight as quickly as possible. I understand that but the trouble with that goal is that we often find ourselves going in circles because we can't sustain that level of deprivation for long. Another side to the equation is that when you lose 22 kg your maintenance calories will be lower. So you're…

I use them quite often. The ones I buy come from China (and are really cheap) and I think the smell is whatever they add to the water to extend their lifespan. I just rinse and use. When using this type of noodle beware of the ones that have soy added as they are more calories than the straight Konjac ones.

I love all the people who disagree with my personal experience, lol. I'm assuming that's where the disagrees are coming from. Just so you folks know, not everyone burns calories at exactly the same rate. The numbers used on MFP are an average. I happen to have a body temperature that runs between 95 and 97 degrees F. So…

Exposure can definitely affect you but with dieting sometimes we neglect our nutrition. Personally I take zinc and vitamin C daily and rarely get sick. I get the flu shot annually and am generally in good health. You might want to consider consulting your doctor and maybe a registered dietitian for some ideas in improving…

I am 5'5" and my maintenance calories are around 1350. Just saying that it isn't always what the system tells you. I'm older and set for sedentary. I went up to 1500 and gained weight. I would give it a couple more weeks as long as you are really watching the calories because saying you have "maintenance days" makes me…

Abstinence is not always a bad thing. I have found that some things I can now eat in moderation after over 2 years of maintenance. On the other I've developed a popcorn issue. I have had to cut it out. I would faithfully weigh out my portion then find myself going back for "just one more bite" over and over until I gained…

Yup definitely better now after a couple of years. Everything seems to tighten up and redistribute. Patience is the key.

I was an online member at WW for many years. I never ever reached my goal weight. I lost some then gained and so forth. What worked for me was MFP. If your family are happy where they are and losing well then good for them. It sounds like it doesn't work for you. What I finally realized after losing weight was that I…

Thanks @middlehaitch I am already at the lowest nicotine level. I quit from May to October but because of the weight gain I started again. Stupid, I know. I'm now dealing with thyroid issues, I was overmedicated which has caused some sleep and mood issues. The fun never ends. Right now I'm trying to slow my vaping again…

The younger you are the more pressure there is to be overly thin. I don't know your body type but that may not be reasonable for you. One other thought I had was that when you lost weight so quickly before you may well have lost some muscle which tends to lower your calorie requirements as muscle burns more calories than…

Sometimes I feel like the little black cloud but my experience has been different than some. I started at 251 and my lowest weight was 143. My goal originally was 135. I'm 5'5.5" tall. I'm 63. I realized that I could not get to 135 unless I was willing to cut my calories even more. I maintain around 1300 calories per day…

Yeah, that's the downside to not having alot of extra weight to lose, lol. When I started out I got alot more calories for those steps but I was 251 pounds back then.
-
Yesterday I walked 8023 steps and got 99 calories for that. I think 100 for 2000 steps is too much. BTW I am set on MFP as sedentary.
-
I thought it was the reason my blood pressure was elevated, lol. Now I know it was the excess synthroid.

It sounds to me like you are under tremendous stress currently and this is something you can control. A registered Dietitian can be very helpful. If you can't afford one the default macros (protein, fat and carb) that are set is MFP are a good place to start. Most of it is common sense. Lean meat and fish, lots of veggies,…

I originally got down to 143 in 2016. I'm currently 155. I'm 5'5" tall and 63 years old. I originally maintained without issue the first year. 2019 was a tough year. I quit vaping in May and a couple months after that the weight gain started. I'm still fighting to get back down but honestly not sure if it will ever happen.…

I quit 4 years ago after about 20 years of an online membership. I have since lost the weight (100 lbs) and maintained. I agree with @Danp they are not motivated to help you lose weight and keep it off. That would be shooting themselves in the foot.

It took about 2 years for my skin to tighten up. I had a tummy tuck but did not do anything with thighs or buttocks. Those aren't perfect but they are better.
-
So sorry I haven't been in here for a bit. You can ask me anything you want. I had the skin removed at 61. If you have any questions at all feel free to message me. I want to help if I can.

Because I initially lost 108 pounds I get very little support from friends right now. I have regained 15 and am trying to get it back off but everyone wants to assure me I'm skinny enough, lol. Funny how that is. I know I'm over and my clothes are tight. My husband however is the opposite. When I was losing he wasn't…

You have the opposite problem to me. I thought I hired a personal trainer and got a life coach. I think you need a life coach if you want help with food and motivation. Whomever you hire make your goals crystal clear. Perhaps get it in writing. Just my two cents.

You may have had a bad month but 107 pounds down!!!! That's amazing. You are back on the horse now and ready to ride. You're doing great.

I've been where you are. I'm a woman but I still know that feeling. You need medication to get over the depression and counselling. I can tell you that Prozac was the very best diet pill I ever took. I don't take anything anymore but you need a doctor to work with you until you are feeling better. Beware of the side…

I left WW after many, many years for MFP and lost 100 pounds. I never looked back. What I will say is that you need to do the program you can stick with for life. If that's WW then you will do better there. For me it wasn't. I needed to build a plan that fit me. Giving me unlimited anything is a bad idea, lol. I count…

Despite this being a VERY old thread I wanted to throw out a warning. A few years ago I sent away for a "FREE" bottle of Green Coffee extract pills. They put me on an autodeliver and the only way I could stop it was to destroy my credit card. Be very very careful.

I hear you and I understand. I use sugarless candy to get off the "real" stuff. I find it doesn't set me off as badly. I know most everyone on here (at least those that shout the loudest) don't believe in sugar addiction. What we call addiction often times is a miserable craving that the body has because we like how it…

I'm retiring the end of March 2020. I told my husband I feel like a kid in July waiting for Christmas. I'm ready. It's early retirement. I'm 63. There is so much I want to do. I've been only part time for the last few years so it won't be a huge change for me. But my time will be my own to do with as I choose. He…
