Ooh!!! I hope you enjoy the hogs wheel @TiisTitanium !! I want to start using it to help with press-ups. But I don’t have the flexibility yet.

Thanks. I started at a normal BMI, so it was truly vanity weight. I had stopped aerial classes and Krav Maga due to financial constraints, both of which acted as resistance training and was solely cycling for exercise. Add in being totally clueless about calorie counts in what I considered "healthy snacks" (cheese, nuts,…

I have a MFP friend on here who does it and has gotten good results. I just bought a set for my husband to use as a tendon strap because his arms were too big for the ones designed specifically for that. I've been debating about adding it into my training.

Yup. I will never ever have small thighs due to genetics. Best you can do is embrace them and at least be glad that it is a much healthier place to store fat than your middle. However, like others have said, if you still have weight to lose just be patient and they will get smaller over time.

LOL :D @middlehaitch I truly was a maintenance failure. I call it a recompbulk. It wasn't intentional. I dropped down to 97lbs and then after a few months of maintenance stopped logging my food. So evidently I've been taking in more than I need since I've slowly gained weight. But I just didn't have it in me to really care…

Wow! That took incredible dedication and determination. Fantastic job. 👏👏👏
-
Daaang! You look amazing already. I can’t wait to see the results post-bulk. Great job on all your hard work!

I put it away and stopped logging over two years ago. About once or twice a year I’ll decide I’m looking too fluffy and log for a few weeks to drop a couple of pounds. I don’t think I would have made the muscle gains I have had I continued weighing myself because I would have freaked out at gaining weight.

Yeah. He actually does do enough walking to meet the goals, but won’t wear it because it’s not “fashionable “. :/

My 14yr old son's favorite thing to do is hug me and smash my face in his armpit. :mask:

I get up around 5:15-5:30 and quickly grab my stuff and go. I try to have my gym bag packed, workout clothes laid out, lunch made and office clothes packed the night before. So I just brush my teeth, get dressed, make my protein drink and out the door. I get to the gym by 6 and workout until around 8 - 8:30 (I spend a long…

This is why I go to the gym instead of working out at home. I pretend that people are actually judging me (when I know they're not), so that I'll actually push myself more than I would at home.

Nice job @Tallawah_ and @Orphia! @TiisTitanium , I hope your hamstring heals quickly. :frowning: I actually tried to handstand in my office today. Might as well during those boring conference calls where I'm just on mute. I was scared to death I was going to hit my desk though. LOL Sorry it pretty much being a butt shot.…

My insurance company offers this. Both my spouse and I can earn up to $3/day for hitting certain step goals. $1 for walking 500 steps in 5min 6x/day, $1 for walking 3k steps in 30min, and $1 for walking 10k overall steps per day. The $6/day goes towards our HSA. It's no incentive for my husband. He refuses to wear a step…

Very true. For most women, the 2-pack doesn't start showing up until around 20%BF, but to psuLemon's point, if your abs aren't developed, you can get very lean and still not see much. This is me with just 3-4 months lifting under my belt, but pretty low weight/BF. This is me last weekend - 2.5 years later. I'm about 12lbs…

That is absolutely fantastic! And I just have to say that your friend Mike is my brother's doppelganger.
-
Wow! You look amazing! Great job making a lifestyle change and keeping it up!

You are probably doing a lot of these already, but this is what I did during my recovery (and still do): Scapular pull-ups Scapular push-ups Scapular retractions/protractions with resistance band Eccentric Internal rotation with resistance band W/T/Y band pull-aparts Face pulls Inverse Rows L-sits Planche leans Dragon…

I've either shrunk or was mis-measured long, long ago. I was 5' all through HS, then when I went to college I got measured at 5'2". I thought it was strange that I would have grown 2" at that age, but that's what I've always considered myself for all of my adult life since. Until this past year when I was measured again…

@claucescu - If you ask someone who has successfully lost weight and kept it off what the number one factor for success is, it's usually consistency. Motivation will come and go as you have seen. But having disciple and consistency is what will get you there. Creating habits. Plan out your meals and prep even though you…

I've been here not logging/ not losing for over two years. But I've seen big changes in body composition.

How's your flexibility going @dananaNanas? I've been getting back to stretching again and my splits are improving. Left is back to about 1/2" off the floor and right still probably has 5-6" to go, but I can tell it's improved. I'm able to get into a semi-pancake in less time as well. It's my straddle that needs the most…

How's everyone doing? My shoulders are slowly getting more open. I can now lock my elbows somewhat when I handstand and when I can stick it, my average hold is around 30sec now. But I'm still around a 1 out of 3 to 5 attempts that I can stick it. It's really felt great lately though when I find that sweet spot where it's…

This post was about stomach exercises, but if you are really wanting a strong core don't forget to do low back exercises each time you do stomach. Follow up your hollow holds with superman holds. Deadbugs with back extensions, etc. Edit - I made the mistake of not giving my low back enough love and I couldn't believe how…

I started adding stomach vacuums recently and have noticed a big difference in my pelvic floor strength.

Sherry, I'm the same size as you and I have to say, it doesn't seem like you eat much. You can eat a lot of food on 1200 calories (100-120g protein) if you are smart about it. Each of the collages below are what I ate in a single day when I was losing weight. I don't want to come off judgy...there are many different ways…

I'd say the majority of women are pear shaped. But I started this thread to give women the opportunity to see a wide range of normal weighted women's shapes. It might help you out some. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10689837/does-this-uterus-make-my-stomach-look-fat#latest

Your total cholesterol is slightly high, but what are your HDL, LDL and Triglycerides? It makes a big difference if your total cholesterol is skewed by high HDL.
