As said above with the strength training you may well be gaining muscle that's the problem i had for a while . Either measure and see if you are smaller or for me i stopped the strength training for a bit until i started losing again then slowly stepped it back up. This worked for me so it may help you as well . good luck

If i know i'm going out for dinner at the weekend i try and do a bit more exercise during the week leading up to it and add the extras calories on to that day giving me more for the meal.

ive just had 2 weeks of going out and eating and drinking way too much but like you back on it now . Don't worry if you fall off every now and again as long as you are still going in the right direction i'ts good to take a break .keep at it and don't give up.

I eat the same stuff as i used to i just keep within my calorie goals (well most of the time) and have lost 34lb and 6 inches in 6 months

The best thing you can do is not set too high a goal think about what weight you would like to be and work your way to it. My kids keep all the snacks hidden in their rooms if i can't see them i tend not to want them. It did take a few weeks to get used to it but now it's not a problem.
