@melodiclyrics personally, I found I preferred to add cardio on SL days rather than on rest days, but at the end of the day (so do the weight lifting in the morning and the cardio in the evening). I liked it because 1) your muscles are "fresh" and rested for the lifts 2) you dont have terrible DOMS (yet) if you do cardio…

I've fallen behind on my check-ins here - I got hit with a stomach bug and spent two days on almost no calories. Ugh. Last Thursday 3/17: SL workout B Squat 5x5 @ 77.5 lbs OHP 5x5 @ 45 lbs Dead 1x5 @ 145 lbs Sick Friday/Sat. Sunday 3/20: Skipped lifts, but kept my preexisting plans to meet friends for hot vinyasa yoga (I'd…

3/15 SL workout A Squat 5x5 @ 75 lbs Bench 5x5 @ 57.5 lbs Row 5x5 @ 55 lbs these are all still going smoothly. I'm looking forward to sharing another round of form check videos toward the end of the month - at more challenging weights, and showing my efforts to incorporate suggestions from last time. I did my weight…

3/12 - SL Workout B + shoulder/postural strength exercises Squat 5x5 @ 72.5 lbs (going to 2.5 lb increases per workout, hoping to slowly but surely break my previous plateau around 120 lbs. Still trying the "breathing at the top" and holding for the squat approach. It makes counting hard haha and I keep doing sets of 6,…

Yesterday (3/9): SL Rest day, had a physical therapy appointment in the morning, and went to a 90 min yoga class in the evening. We worked on "the splits" (hanumanasana) and I was delighted to see my progress when fully warm and "primed" - my left is like an inch off the ground with square hips, right is still 5 inches. I…

Thank you for taking the time to watch and offering critiques and encouragement @SideSteel, @Dopeitup, and @Cherimoose. I appreciate it. Yes, I agree that it is easier to keep my form in check at lighter weights. I will post an update in a couple weeks attempting to incorporate all feedback and to check in at an increased…

Hi! I am doing StrongLifts and seeking feedback on my form for any and all lifts (squat, bench, dead, overhead press, barbell row), please. I uploaded the videos to a google drive folder (link below). I had done a bit of StrongLifts last year, and just recently restarted and deloaded completely after a 2-month break due to…

thank you @canadianlbs - I'm glad to hear it looks good overall! I read Starting Strength by Rippetoe and am trying to follow the form cues from there. - OHP: I was extra rusty on this one (as mentioned in my other post), so am especially grateful for the suggestions. I'll work on these and share an update video in the…

Hi - I am looking for feedback on my form for any and all lifts, please. I uploaded the videos to a google drive folder (link below) because the file size was too large to embed here (are there better ways to do this? let me know!). I did a bit of SL last year and took a couple breaks due to injury and just restarted a…
