I'm from Woodstock, which is north close to Wisconsin border (just going to school in Missouri). Anyone can add me too :)

http://deliciouslyorganic.net/white-beans-sausage-recipe/ I like this recipe a lot - I modified and used tomato sauce rather than crushed tomatoes because I don't like any trace of solid tomato (arguably it would cook down, but I didn't want to take that risk). Unfortunately it is a little higher in calories, but it is…

Just added you :)

Hi there! After months of on and off "dieting" I finally buckled down in February and committee to a healthier life style. This last Friday I hit 25 pounds total lost and I have 50.8 to go (not that I'm counting or anything...) I live alone too and I actually find it easier to stay on track as I can choose what I want to…

It is really tasty!!! I had leftovers today for lunch, but am wishing I had added a bit more spice now. So good though!

I friend requested you!! I am currently a student, but I have the same problem with being motivated to go to the gym. When I come home after a long day, I typically just want to just sit on the couch and veg out! What works for me is bringing clothes with me and hitting the gym before I go home. I'll try to have a light…

I have lost about 23 pounds and many people have started telling me they notice/asking me if I lost weight. It was flattering at first and a good confidence booster, but it has started to make me feel a little uncomfortable. One of my male friends who lacks most social cues actually asked me how much I weighed. I was…

Vodka gummy bears!!! Omg it has been so long! That's a great idea too :)

I have a good 40-50 pounds to lose and I'm on the "aggressive" 2 pounds per week plans So I get 1420 calories per day, so I will definitely keep this in mind - I guess I'll see what the 1 or 2 drinks do to me and accommodate accordingly.
-
Thank you so much, everyone! I definitely need to check now and see how much vodka I have been measuring in my drinks when I make them - I might be under calculating the calories! Will definitely keep all this in mind, especially when I am going out!

I make myself eat 5 vegetables between each "junkier" snack. Helps myself get full on stuff that is more low cal, low sodium.

I'm down 4.2 pounds. Probably the strictest week I have had in a while!

Hi everyone! I'm a law student with about 60 pounds to lose! Adding everyone in this thread :)

Thank you, everyone! This gives me a lot of ideas - I think I will pass on the stir fry for now and try some of these other suggested recipes. Beef is intimidating, but I'm excited to try something. Hopefully it will turn out :)

It works well for me to pre-log as I pack my lunch for the next day. I bring all my food with me to school and know what I'll be eating - that way I won't be as tempted to go get something bad or to hit up the vending machines. I also leave room for a snack or something later - it is super easy to change if I decide not to…

I've been using idealshape shakes for the past couple of months and will continue to do so because I love the taste - I usually replace breakfast every day because, although I like to eat "real food", I like sleeping even more so it's either grab a quick shake or nothing. I mix all of them with unsweetened vanilla almond…

I started at 225 and am down to 207. One of my friends who gives me "fitness advice" commented yesterday that I am looking good and that I have lost weight. Another friend told me I look "healthier" and my mom saw some pictures I posted on Facebook and set it definitely looks like I lost weight. As for me, I can't really…

My go to: -2-3 chicken breasts (trimmed) (raw) -fresh green beans -cauliflower florets (or potatoes if you aren't watching your carbs) I lay down the chicken in a casserole/baking dish and then out the cauliflower on one side and the green beans on the other. I take a packet of Italian dressing seasoning and sprinkle it…

I drink a lot of unsweetened green tea (iced). So refreshing! I did drop like 10 pounds in 6 months without changing other things in my diet/activity, but I would say it is more because I was now drinking 0 calories multiple times a day rather than hundreds of calories in Starbucks lattes.
-
I am doing my own hybrid of low carb and drinking IdealShakes (meal replacement). I know there is a stigma attached to meal replacement shakes, but they have worked for me so far. I usually have two shakes a day as well as 1-2 smaller meals and always snacks! The shakes help me stay within my calories so I can eat a bigger…

I'm finishing my first one at the end of April! I will get my $10 for sure since I met my goal - not sure if I'll get much more because most of the people (14 in a pot of $140) have met their goals. I think I'll do it again!

This looks fantastic!

Hi everyone, My name is Alyssa! I'm 23 years old, 5'7" and currently weight 209.8 pounds. My heaviest weight (that I know of) was 235 in April 2015. I started switching to drinking iced green tea (no sweetener) every day rather than my Starbucks lattes and when I started law school in the fall, I was 225. I got down to…

I just made crock pot beef stew ("low carb") and I'm pretty excited about it, not going to lie. beef stew meat Carrots Celery Onion Au jus packet 6 cups of water 4 teaspoons of beef stock (like the jar of stock) I think that is all! I put it all in on low for 8 hours and it was fabulous. 8 portions at 295 calories each! I…

I'm just finishing my first one - I have .6 pounds to go in two weeks. It is kind of exciting! I am considering doing it monthly. It is motivating for me! But I know I'm in the beginning of my weight loss stage so the pounds come off easily at first. I might try one of the long term ones that last 6 months.

I do three Raw chicken breasts in a casserole dish with green beans layered on one side and cauliflower florets on the other side (you can use potatoes, but I am trying to lay off the carbs). Sprinkle with Italian dressing seasoning (one packet) and garlic powder and sometimes seasoned salt. Cover with foil and bake at 350…

I'm not sure of the green tea diet, but I can attest to its benefits semi long term. I switched from a Starbucks latte each morning to an unsweetened green iced tea. I started this in April and realized, in October, I was down 10 pounds without changing anything else in my diet or activity level. That could just be the…

Thanks, everyone! This is great! Yes, I do weigh my food. And I did get an actual pair of running shoes fitted at a running store - I'll have to look into adding some strength training.

I do fat free half in half and then a tiny bit of sugar (like 1/2 a teaspoon). That definitely helps bring the calories down! Otherwise almond milk is probably a great choice as well!
