  • Of course it’s “good” - it’s delicious! I enjoy eating an entire bowl and all the fixings (sour cream, cheese, and guacamole) - usually when I’m having a chill night in. That being said, I’m on 1200 calories a day so that’s nearly all of them. So I’ll usually have this on a rare occasion and have a very light “snack”…
  • String cheese and hard boiled eggs are quick! Yogurt as well. I think having some pre-portioned crackers or nuts would be good too. My favorite would probably be the string cheese - I get the “light” kind and it’s 50 calories per string cheese. I usually have two as snacks at work!
  • I do working lunches most days at the office and just eat at my desk carefully. Some days I can heat up my whole lunch and other days I’m just eating a few snacks. Not sure if you have access to a microwave, but these are my go tos: -hard boiled eggs -cottage cheese -chicken and green beans (I cook the chicken in bulk and…
  • Try it with everything bagel seasoning! It. Will. Change. Your. Life. And I am definitely ordering some of that popcorn! Looking forward to trying it!
  • Oooh thank you! I am going to try some oil spray! Thay might help a lot! I haven’t tried the purple popcorn but I’m going to give it a try. Recently became hooked on some yellow popcorn from a farmer’s market and it’s so fluffy! I am all about trying new popcorn options!
  • I use the health app on the iPhone and that syncs them over together!
  • I got my Peloton bike last week and I’m obsessed! I’ll add you :) I feel you - I’m trying to get back into the fitness world. I lost 40 pounds in 2016... then I gained it all back! I’m finally in the right mind set and been riding a bunch!
  • I like a cheat meal. Every couple weeks or so! Usually make my “going out and drinking nights” the cheat nights. I’ll shave off 100-200 calories easy day the week leading up and then I feel no guilt indulging. It’s back to routine after that! For me, I need to have a fun meal planned to keep me motivated!
  • I have an air popper (no oil needed) and I like to drizzle a little butter and then some everything bagel seasoning! It’s so good and I can eat a huge bowl for under 300 calories!
  • I’ve used IdealShape weight loss/meal replacement shakes (called Ideal Shakes). I found them to be tasty (but sweet) and would blend them in a blender or shaker bottle with unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I still use them from time to time - I get bored and take a break. I usually do one in the morning as my breakfast and…
  • I ended up attempting to make chicken soup for my sick mom... and totally botched it! It was my fault for not paying attention :) now I’m sick and she made me chicken soup on the stove perfect. My second meal was Mac n cheese and it was perfect except maybe a little too cheesy (I know there shouldn’t be such a thing as…
  • I don’t love sweet so I do a lot of unsweetened green iced tea! Club soda with lime or other sparkling water is good too! I’m picky because I dislike some sparkling waters and find them to be bland. I like the ice mountain brand and the kind at Woodmans! I also like making fruit infused water (like strawberry infused). Not…
  • Hi! My first concern would be whether you are truly eating 1400 calories. Are you using a food scale and measuring it out? When I started counting calories, I used to “eyeball” foods and realized I was overeating. I would definitely check on that. Otherwise I would think you would be losing a little more.
  • Thank you! I ended up scoping out a few and think I made my decision, but want to go back around when I would normally go to see how crowded it is! I wasn’t sure if people had specific opinions on any of the gyms, but I’ve done a bit of research now and it seriously varies!
  • So sorry to hear about that! I had a microdiscectomy in May 2017 for my herniated disc at L4/L5. Unfortunately I was unable to try to wait it out with PT because body was crooked and I was in too much pain. I’m doing much better a year and a half post op but still have to be careful. Every situation is different and I…
  • That’s a great way of clarifying! And I agree! Although I feel like a cranberry juice company isn’t targeting the diet industry or encouraging this type of myth! It’s just all those weird blogs you see! I appreciate the input!
  • Sorry - I didn’t mean drinking just the cranberry juice and not eating. I just meant as a reset of incorporating that WITH a calorie deficit! Definitely was not just going to drink juice lol! That being said, I think I don’t need to do it at all after reviewing these!
  • Vodka soda with lime! So so good!
  • Green smoothies aren’t anything special to give you fat burning or anything. You still have to maintain a caloric deficit to lose weight. I have incorporated green smoothies into my diet before. I like doing a handful of kale, handful of spinach, pineapple, grapes, vanilla Greek yogurt, chia seeds! I weighed and logged all…
  • I use celery as the vehicle for all my favorite dips (ranch dip, buffalo chicken dip etc). I may have to try green beans now! Celery isn’t really unusual either! I’m curious to see what other people say though!
  • Just echoing what everyone else is saying. Talk to your PT or even better, your spine doctor. I’m 10 month’s post op from my microdiscectomy from my herniated disk. I still have to be careful with lifting and even some cardio that engages twisting too much. Please please please listen to professionals and not people on a…
  • I don’t have any pictures at the moment, but honestly I just make whatever and make several servings and microwave the leftovers in individual containers. So I end up eating the same thing for a few days. This week I had the crockpot cheeseburgers (no bun)! I will do cabbage stew with ground beef a lot! Sometimes I do…
  • I usually look up the menu before I go out so I can decide what I want! I then try my best to eyeball what they serve me and I usually am overly careful and would rather log up than down! For example, if I get a taco salad I will look up generic taco meats, sour cream, cheese etc! I just find the closest alternative and…
  • I love celery!!! I recently made kale chips and loved them! Other crunchy foods not mentioned: sunflower seeds in the shell. These are just fun, but the calories can add up! The shell may slow you down though! I have read of people roasting chic peas until crunchy! That sounds good! I munch on plain Cheerios too! You get a…
  • I do green smoothies on occasion for breakfast. I do a handful of spinach, handful of kale, and then a combination of two or three fruits such as pineapple, banana, strawberry, blueberry, kiwi, or grapes! I also add a tablespoon of chia seeds and then about 100 calories worth of green yogurt. Blend with water and ice! My…
  • I love wheat puffs or another cereal like corn flakes with the cottage cheese! So good! When I’m feeling like something super comforting, I’ll eat cottage cheese on top of buttered French bread. So good! Brings back the feels from childhood!
  • I think it is personal preference! I like the cookies n cream, but I don’t think it tastes like cookies n cream ice cream at all. I didn’t like the mint! Or chocolate almond crunch! My favorite is the peanut butter cup or pistachio! I haven’t seen the candy bar anywhere, but I’m curious to try it!
  • This isn’t exactly what you’re looking for but sometimes I put a piece of ham or other lunch meat in a muffin tin and then crack an egg inside the ham! Light salt and pepper or other seasoning on top! Bake in the oven and it is super good! You can scramble the egg or just crack it in. I have seen people put cheese on top…
  • I did it and I loved it at the time. However I was missing certain things like rice that I couldn’t satisfy with substitutes. Each cheat meal that knocked me out of ketosis would lead to weight gain and ultimately I decided it wasn’t sustainable for me. Now I still avoid breads and Rices for the most part (trigger foods)…
  • I’m not keto anymore, but these were amazing for breakfast. I would make 2 dozen and freeze them and then heat in the oven each morning two at a time. I mixed all ingredients together and cooked all at once. https://pin.it/pviav6g5z4tfji Otherwise I also made a lot of “cheeseburger salads” and other bowl options of…
