Yes! I also noticed that I gained back a few pounds. This was part of why I stopped doing keto because it wasn’t sustainable for me without cheat days which included carbs and I was sick of the jump on the scale and how I felt when I would go out of ketosis.

When I did keto (it wasn’t good for me long term) I would do bacon or cheese as more fat! Also salami with cream cheese! So good!
-
I haven’t used the one in the blog! I do one that is just a bag of frozen Riced cauliflower, 1 egg, and some cheeSe and it doesn’t stick to the pan if I use cooking spray! :) so tasty!

I have the Skyla and I have put on some weight which I attribute to poor eating. I’m now calorie counting and slowly losing those pounds again. I will say that I gained a lot of weight on nexplanon (arm implant) and immediately dropped ten pounds after getting it removed, no other changes. I think birth control affects…

I just tried kale chips (homemade) for the first time today and I’m very impressed! They were very light and crispy! Definitely making these again!
-
Oh I feel you! Potato chips are SO satisfying! I feel like I crave salty so often though so I can’t always indulge!
-
I loved idealshape shakes! Mixed with almond milk and they were under 150 calories! I got kind of bored of them though! They did help me lose weight though because I was counting calories and spending less on breakfast!
-
Ahhhhhh all these ideas are making me so hungry! I can’t wait to try some of these! Love me some salt!

Hi! I have DDD too and I also am 8 months post op from a Microdiscectomy/hemilaminectomy at L4/L5. I still have to take things easy and have difficulty lifting heavy things (so I avoid it) as well as I get flare ups from too much twisting or motion that aggravates the lower back. I have been walking a ton and recently…

I love this dip!! I have done it with Greek cream cheese and then reduced fat cheese on top. I’m sure I could make a healthier chili than the Hormel but for convenience, the can works so well! Hope other people have good ideas too!
-
Awesome! Do you use the juice that is in the crock pot after the chicken as well?

I was low carb and then Keto and then low carb and now just trying to avoid breads and pastas regularly (I will just eat them nonstop). Throughout all of these ways of eating and now, I was also counting calories and losing weight. I personally found Keto to be too much for me because I wasn’t about to give up on breads…

Cheese sticks/string cheese were a must when I was low carb! Celery! Beef jerky! They have these carb smart yogurts that aren’t bad either!
-
You can add me! I’m good with the food, but the exercise is hard for me since I have restrictions
-
Hi! Just added you! I’m 24 and working on this myself!
-
I’ve always been a MFP gal and my mom did WW. Now given that they are saying you can eat as many bananas, beans, and eggs as you want without counting them, I believe my mom will consider switching over!
-
Adding you! I’m resuming my weight loss expedition. I am just around halfway as well! :)

I used to be low carb and I still avoid breads and pastas for the most part because pasta is a trigger food and I would rather have more meat or cheese rather than spend calories on bread. Assuming you have access to a microwave, I tend to make “fajita bowls” with shredded chicken, salsa, and fajita veggies. I also do…

I’m in law school and I feel you. I get so tired that I don’t feel like cooking! I do usually cook on a Sunday, but I tend to make things in large batches which I can freeze. My current obsession is green smoothies (I posted about them earlier since I’m still perfecting how to make them work for me) but I spent a good hour…

My favorite snacks vary. Right now, it’s full fat cottage cheese or hard boiled eggs. I consistently have a low fat string cheese (Aldi’s fit and active is 50 calories a stick). Carrots are great too!
-
I love popcorn! I will regularly have air popped popcorn. I don’t even need salt - it’s something about the crunch. When we have family movie nights and I’m going to just cheat/not log, I make it the old fashioned way on the stove with butter, oil, salt!
-
I use it to cook a whole chicken. I shred the meat and I use the chicken for tacos (no shell) or buffalo chicken dip (and dip with celery).
-
Thank you, everyone! These are some great ideas! I appreciate the input! :)

Gosh I love sardines! My Gramma would buy the sardines (sprats) in oil and we would eat on buttered French bread. It’s been a while! I know what I am requesting next time I go over to her house!

I eat a lot of hard boiled eggs because they are easy and cheap to buy. Otherwise I will typically meal prep. It can get boring, but I’ll make a big batch of something and eat it all week. It helps save me money since I’m not buying a ton of different things. The downside is that if I don’t really love the food, I get…

I keep halo top ice cream in my freezer and I’ll eat one spoonful of it. Honestly I don’t log this usually. Otherwise a (measured) spoonful of peanut butter, sunbutter, or honey almond butter will do the trick, but those are more high in calories and I do log! Recently I have been having a cup of Starbucks Kerrigan hot…

My sister eats it alone all the time! Right out of the jar!

I got an egg cooker on amazon for like $15. You add a little water and it auto shuts off/buzzes when they are done. I’ve had good luck with getting great hard boiled eggs, but I have to be very careful with adding the right amount of water. The shells of the eggs don’t always look pretty because I’m not the best at…

I’m back again as well (I’ve been logging in, but not faithfully logging or eating good). Anyone feel free to add me! I like to see other people on my feed!

Thank you to everyone for the comments! I appreciate it! I graduated PT and I have a variety of different exercises to help strengthen the back and muscles around it (can’t remember all the names now because I have them memorized when I do them but some are marches, pelvic tilts, leg lifts etc) I will definitely keep in…
