He's right. Having said that, a handful of nuts and dried fruit is good for me. Replaces some of the salt loss and gives you some sugar, protein and fiber. It's enough to recharge you without having to sit down for a whole meal.

I do the same thing. My pitas are whole wheat, 4" diameter. Spread with a little oil and garlic and heat face down on frying pan.
