  • My go-to has always been plain chocolate, but I also love dulce de leche
  • I just came back from a week-long trip in Italy, where I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in cheese (and gelato...and wine...), but the cheese! So freaking good. Fresh mozzarella, fresh burrata. I'm going through some serious withdrawl now that I'm back.
  • Congrats on your new little one! I was fortunate with both of mine and bounced back fairly quickly - Both my kids were on the small side and my stretching was minimal, so it was just a matter of losing the weight (vs losing the weight AND having to deal with the saggy/stretched skin). My 2nd was much easier b/c I nursed…
  • 4:30-4:45am - wake up 5:00 - 6:30am - gym 6:45am - shower, get ready for work 7:15am - get kids up, fed, ready for school 8:30 - 5:30pm - work 6:00 - dinner 7:00 - homework, baths, family time 8:30 - kids in bed 9:30 - me in bed
  • At 2mo old, your baby is still brand new! And likely needs to be very close all the time. Take walks in the stroller or strapped to your chest. Get fresh air - it'll be good for you both. When the baby is sleeping, get some strength training in. But be kind to yourself and patient! The more lengthy workouts will come!
  • I buy all of my dress pants from Express.
  • That's my go-to! It's actually really good - very refreshing. I don't like sweet drinks, so for me, it's perfect. Sometimes I'll toss some muddled mint in there too. I can promise you, it's definitely worth drinking!
  • If you're trying to fit in exercise, you'll have to wake up earlier...or go to bed later. I'm at my desk by 8:30am and get up by 4:30am-4:45am to get my gym time in. It gets my head in the right place to start off my day and doesn't interfere with family time (b/c they are all still asleep when I get home from the gym).
  • me too! If I have an overly large meal the night before, I am STARVING in the morning.
  • To answer the OP, I've done both and can without a doubt say (for me) working outside of the home is much easier in terms of sticking to a deficit. I pre-pack my lunch and snacks and don't have the temptation of the fridge or pantry within reach. I get up at 4:30am and get my workouts in, while the kids and hubby are still…
  • I try to move every day - most of that is through my routine, structured programs or it could be as simple as an easy walk/jog on the weekend. But there are some days that my body needs the rest. I can tell - it's a totally different type of tired than my usual "ugh, it's 4:30am" tired. On those days, I take the rest...and…
  • I am in the gym 5 mornings a week. But three of those days are cardio in the morning AND also include lifting at night, so I look forward to those rest days on the weekends.
  • I'm one of those people who have to force the water intake. If not, I'll go all day with only a cup of coffee to drink and maybe a few sips here or there until dinner. I'll get ready for bed and realize that I've only peed twice all day. So, I do try to focus on getting more. It keeps the sluggishness at bay as well, but…

  • Very similar to Cream of Wheat in terms of texture/consistency and taste 2 T Coconut Flour (or 1/4 c Almond flour) 2 T Milled Flaxseed 1 T protein powder (I use zero carb Isopure Vanilla) Cinnamon Mix together, add boiling water to desired consistency. If you use Coconut flour, it will need more water b/c it really absorbs…
  • I drink 4 a day, not including coffee.
  • I make a salad out of almost every meal. Tonight's dinner was cheeseburgers. I nixed the bun and chopped up my burger with tomatoes, a ton of romaine, cucumbers and a tbsp of ranch. Tomorrow's dinner is BBQ chicken - I'll do the exact same. It's a huge portion appearance wise, very filling for way less calories. Also,…
  • Good pizza and great wine together is still my version of heaven. But crappy Pizza Hut pizza...not even worth it now. I can't think of anything that's actually ruined for me - just things that are no longer worth the effort.
  • chocolate fudge - warm and gooey. It's been my favorite since I was a kid!
  • I get it. My husband is 6'5" and has weight to lose, but he's happy where he is. He doesn't care about his weight and eats what he wants when he wants it. His choice. Meanwhile, I'm a foot shorter and 200 pounds lighter so my calorie intake is clearly way less...and I do care about my weight. My choice. STILL, I have to…
  • I'm north of DC, but I heard on the news this morning that this cold snap may kill off the blooms before they even come out. Too bad - a lot of people flock to them!
  • My experience is that it's not like calories - you can't bank your carbs for another day. One "bad" meal can kick you out. That being said, we all have different carb counts that keep us in ketosis. Some may need to stick to 20....others may get away with 30.
  • No. I eat LC and can't tell you the last time I ate bacon...or a cheeseburger, for that matter. I get a lot of vegetables in my diet and yes, a lot of meat and some dairy. But it's certainly not a pass for an all out grease laden free-for-all. And please, define "long term" because it's been 16 months for me and I'm still…
  • I have this pinned, but haven't tried it yet: https://www.ketoconnect.net/cinnamon-keto-granola/ Also, I frequent make this hot cereal for breakfast - takes just a minute to put together. 2 T Coconut Flour (or 1/4 c Almond flour) 2 T Milled Flaxseed 1 T protein powder (I use zero carb Isopure Vanilla) Cinnamon Mix…
  • Thanks - I actually do my lifts first already and cardio 2nd, I didn't mean to imply an order there...not sure why I typed it the other way around. My bigger question was regarding the non-SL days.
  • I view pasta simply as a carrier to the sauce, so I replace it with veggies - spiralized zucchini, roasted eggplant, or wilted spinach. Put the sauce right on top! I try to include a large leafy green salad with most of my meals - if my family is eating pulled pork sandwiches, I toss the pork onto some baby arugula and eat…
  • salt, pepper, garlic - and throw it on the grill. Properly grilled chicken is sooo much better than baked, imo.
  • Congratulations!! I'm sorry the delivery was less than ideal. After having our son via emergency c/s at 28 weeks, I know how traumatic it can be when things so sideways quickly. I hope you're resting and recovering as quickly as possible! Red meat and lots of pbj sandwiches? Or spinach and berry smoothies with some avocado…
  • I lost almost 20 pounds on low carb (5'6", from 146 down to 127). It took about 3 months to lose. I originally stuck to 20g or less net carbs, but once I hit goal, I now tend to find myself around 40-50 most days. I love it...it's easy to maintain and I don't feel deprived. I eat a ton of leafy green veggies and drink a…
  • None here. I was a size 5 ring size 20 pounds heavier and still a size 5 ring size at my goal weight.
