When I'm at my desk at work craving a sweet treat I derail it with four or five red hot candies. It really helps me get that punch of flavor I'm craving while making minimal inroads into my remaining calories for the day. This usually happens to me around mid afternoon.

Well done! You look great! Also, awesome smile!

That's wonderful! You are certainly a success in my mind.
-
Woo hoo! That's awesome!

Daft Punk- 'The Game Has Changed' I love this one!

That moment when you catch yourself feeling up your own leg because you've just noticed a hint of new muscle. It was just fat before but now I have a little bit of muscle there! Yippee!
-
That's got to feel good when someone notices your progress like that! Good for you!

I think it was the stairs that did it. I took two days off from double stairs at a time and my calves have calmed down. I'm also modifying the squat challenge to be a little less intense. It's still getting me moving. I do them at different times at the office which helps me sneak in a little movement when I have a desk…

I'll try this trick. It's possible that it is the stairs making my calves hurt. I've been taking them for two months and just started taking them two at a time at random intervals.

I'll do a couple in front of a mirror to check but I think my form is pretty good. A couple years ago I had a personal trainer who showed me the correct form for it. I make sure my knees don't go over or past my toes and squeeze my flutes as I stand. Of course I could be doing something wrong and will discover it today as…

It hurts to walk the stairs because my calves are so tight and sore. I wasn't sure if resting from the squats would help. I'm still planning on doing the stairs to keep from sliding back into old elevator riding habits.

Looks intense to me. :) Good job!

I'm so new here that I don't have more than a handful of friends.
-
Great! I'm still getting the hang of how this site works but I'm loving how friendly people are here.

Great start to a new you! Good job.

Another thing that you might find useful is to use a foam roller after your workout. I started using one when I was working with a personal trainer. She showed me how to use it and it made a serious difference in how sore I was the next day or so. We would use the foam rollers then do a lot of good stretching after each…

This. My bed tends to hold me captive in the morning. I hate getting up early.

Good for you! Best wishes on your journey.

I'm trying to lose about fifty pounds myself. Let's do this!
-
I went with the weight that I was when I was in the Army. It's a good weight and general fitness goal to start with.
-
Well done! I'm happy for you.

Glad to 'meet' you. :) Great job on the weight loss! How do you feel about your progress so far? I'm not officially in the Move program yet but I've been working with the staff member from the move program. She's been giving me tips and weighing/ measuring me on a weekly basis. I stay off the scale during the rest of the…

I'm a Vet. I got out in 99 but ended up in Kuwait for a year in 03-04 doing direct support. Today I'm trying to lose weight and build myself back up to how I was when I was in.

Army Veteran here. I'm working on losing fifty pounds. As of today I'm down about six pounds in four weeks. Add me if you like. :)

What is onderland? I keep seeing this phrase... OP, congratulations on your progress!

Congratulations!

You look fabulous, healthy and happy! Keep up the good work!

I'd be interested.

I always use a foam roller after a leg workout. I've noticed a night and day difference between now and before when I didn't have one.

Even though I've just started to lose weight I've decided that when I reach my goal of 160 lbs I'm going to go skydiving again. I've been once before and had a great time. In the meantime I'm going to reward myself when I lose twenty pounds with a rock hounding trip. I make jewelry from stones and want to get some new…
