THANK YOU for your service!!! A lifetime ago, I was an Air Force brat... I have so much respect for everyone who has accepted the challenge to serve America. I have many friends who had joined, in all branches. It's one thing that I wish I had done. I wish you the best at reaching your goals. There is a lot of great…

Excellent advice, Chris! :) I'll be 47 in 3 months. I'm 5'11" & was at my heaviest 15 years ago (reached 136 lbs). Back then, I chose to get back in shape & did, fairly quickly, while making much healthier food choices, lifting, and doing cardio 3-4 times a week. I got down to 180-185 and felt AWESOME. My program back then…

I'm just South of Olympia... Happy to add anyone in the PNW. My diary is open to the public. I started my weight loss journey on 2/27 and have since dropped about 12 lbs. I started at 230 & have committed to losing 2 lbs a week until I beat my 1st goal of 199.9 lbs., with a June 1 deadline. I've been doing the elliptical…

I'm up for the challenge, despite joining in late. That's about 2 lbs a week. =) SW: 230 (2/27/16) CW: 219.3 (3/18/16) 6/1/16 GW: 199.9

I prefer to see a real person. It just means more to me... I don't care what anyone looks like, a picture just adds personality. I did think twice about posting my picture. I'm happily married & not interested in finding a hook-up, so I really didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea when they saw my 225 lbs (then) of…

Great job! I've lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks using MFP! Love this app!!! :D M/46, 5'11"; currently 220 lbs; goal of 185 lbs. with a net calorie goal of 1,500; using an elliptical at least 3x a week for 30 min, with periodic weight lifting (just simple stuff, like curls).

Great job! I'm 46, 5'11" and just getting back into getting healthy. My high school weight was 175. Twenty years ago, I was 190-195 when I married my wife. Since then, my job has pretty much always involved lots of travel & eating out, which has caused me to get as heavy as 236, about 15 years ago. Back then, I committed…

My goal was to lose 45, but since I've already lost the 1st 5 last week, I guess that puts me on the -40 plan. =) 46 y/o male, currently at 225 lbs.
