I’ve had this issue for awhile and just chalk it up to yet another classic mfp glitch :| Although occasionally it doesn’t post it at all, I mostly find that it doesn’t post my exercise update immediately but a few hours later it appears on my wall. Check it in a few hours and see if it magically appears :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Before pic: 209 lbs After pic: 167 lbs Height: 5’11” Age: 45 I’ve maintained my weight loss for 6+ years so long term maintenance is possible if you keep at it. I started out from a lifetime of being sedentary and now I’ve found my passion for trail running, never in my wildest dreams thought I’d become a runner after age…

A few ideas from my experiences, not sure if it helps you or not but thought I’d share :) I would add in that getting good quality sleep is important for your health journey and is something to be prioritized IMHO. If I don’t sleep well it throws the rest of the day off and it’s harder to have the willpower to do what I…

Thanks :) I read equally good and bad reviews for Sun-In, you are right it requires the right shade of hair to begin with or the result will just end up brassy and damaged. I did not find a single hair expert video that recommends it either. I won’t be using it but I admit it’s tempting because it’s such an inexpensive…

I considered using Sun-In but I think my hair would be too dark for it to work on so decided against it, that’s great it worked for you! :) I’ve used purple shampoo/conditioner before but I’ve discovered blue shampoo/conditioner works even better on my hair to keep the brass toned.

Back when I was losing weight I would earn my extra calories with exercise usually by extra walking or hiking. Occasional I’d relax and just eat more if it was a special occasion or something, going over once in awhile didn’t hinder my loss, it’s about what you do most of the time, no need for perfection IMHO. Now in…

Fruit or low cal veggies are good options, precut and ready to eat. Also, I try to avoid having the tempting snacks in the house at all, that makes it much easier to resist if they aren’t around. But personally what I need to avoid is watching TV because that’s what causes my late evening cravings. If I’m doing anything…

I’ve learned to take the weight that any scale gives me with the possibility that there may be a small margin of error. My clothes however will always tell me the truth :D so I also factor in how my clothes are fitting because a weight gain of 3-5 pounds on me goes right to my spare tire and I feel those waistbands getting…

Thanks! It’s been fascinating learning all about hair levels and tones. I’ve had to learn that the color on the box is not usually the color that will turn out on my hair :D I used demi-permanent dyes only so they’d be easier to blend. Almost all the hair experts I’ve watched on YouTube say to stay away from permanent dyes…

Congrats great progress! Just keep going, you will achieve your goal! :)

Beautiful! You can really rock some statement earrings with that do! :)

Thanks! <3 Yea, it’s a weird feeling... I feel like I’m cheating on my hairdresser with myself :D but I am saving a lot of money so I don’t know if I’ll go back to having her do it or just keep doing it myself and see her only for haircuts. It’s actually a haunted house candle holder. I love Halloween and keep some of the…

My son on the other hand just picked up the clippers and unceremoniously shaved his head :o

You have beautiful hair, from what I can see in your profile picture, you’re so lucky! My hair could never get that long! Longest it ever got was to my shoulder blades.
-
That’s awesome, you are very lucky! Over the years I’ve kinda learned that the less I do to my hair the healthier it looks, I used to brush it to death and now just run my fingers or a wide toothed comb through it once in the morning and maybe once or twice throughout the day, I don’t need any more than that, I don’t even…

Everything I know about hair I learned on YouTube :D :D :D

Awesome! My BF was doing this also and I loved the full beard! But alas, his job requires wearing an N95 mask so he had to shave it for a better fit :( he still has long hair though!

I let mine go grey for about 3 months then dyed it purple! If you look real close there are still purple hints in it somewhere, couldn’t get it all out :D and I originally had a short bob and planned to keep it short but then the lockdown happened so now I’m growing it out. You’re so lucky, I’ve always wanted curly hair…

My natural hair color is salt and pepper which I do like but I’m not ready to rock quite yet. This time I was going for a caramelized brown but I didn’t want monotone color, I wanted some dimension and depth and didn’t want to end up with a hair disaster. I used 3 different colors and various blending techniques and this…

Ouch, ouch and ouch! :s I’ve not had any major injuries like that and I actually hike barefoot :# Maybe hiking isn’t your thing but there are other less impact exercises that you can do. I’m kind of a believer that I need to push myself just a little past my comfort zone to challenge myself but not past the point of pain…

Trail and pavement. Trail running is my true passion! Been at it for 6+ years
-
Congrats that’s fantastic! :)

If this idea motivates you then more power to you! :) I’ve thought about having lessened my ecological impact due to the fact that I am a barefoot runner. I run barefoot because to me it feels natural and fun but I realize I’m also saving the planet a teeny tiny bit from having to manufacture, transport and later dispose…

My solution is probably not for everyone of course but you did say “any ideas are welcome” :) Back when I was losing weight and more recently to lose 6 pounds that I accumulated after lockdown, what ALWAYS worked to get me out of a plateau was an 8 mile hike. Told ya it wasn’t for everyone! :D but every time the scale…

For me, occasionally needing to go into a small deficit is just a normal part of maintenance. I allow myself a 5 pound buffer for my maintenance weight and if I go over that then I know I need to reel myself in and start logging again. Most recently I was carrying around 4 pounds I had gained last summer and then the…

I was hunched over for various reasons since I was a teen. Once I started running regularly in my 40’s after a couple of years I noticed in my photos that my back and shoulders were so much straighter and my posture had improved 100% without effort. I assume that my running form strengthened my core and made me finally…

As a barefoot runner people usually assume I like running in soft grass but in reality I hate running in the grass due to the poor visibility and completely avoid it whenever possible. If I do have to run through the grass I alter my gait by slowing down, lifting my knees higher and placing my foot down in a more gentle…

It’s over the counter. I buy CVS generic or Walmart generic brands.
