Found an old photo of me at my heaviest. I carried a lot of the excess weight around my middle and completely lost my waist, not to mention my posture was terrible. Those gray pants were a size 18 and I was already well on my way to a size 20. My health was spiraling downwards fast. It would be another year and a half…

I have a non-traditional workweek, yesterday was my Sunday so I went for a very fun 6 mile trail run B)

I did not plan for failure because failure was not an option for me this time :# I had already failed many times in the past to lose weight for vanity reasons but when I was having my annual checkup the nurse weighed me and when the doctor saw the number he said “That must be a mistake, I’ll have the nurse weigh you again”…

I lost my sedentary lifestyle! A whole lifetime and perfect record of inactivity wasted now that I’ve found my passion for trail running, so much so that I may never get it back! ;)

It’s usually at dinnertime but it can also be breakfast, lunch or I might eat more calories in snacks than in any of my meals, it just depends on my hunger. I didn’t have a problem losing weight as predicted by counting calories and I’ve maintained for 6+ years.

As long as someone is fully aware of the risks involved and has realistic expectations about the results then only they can decide if the procedures are right for them. Always research the doctors and go to a certified and experienced surgeon. What I’d do is write down any questions I can think of before the consultation…

Have you had a recent checkup at your Gyno? Uterine fibroids and other reproductive organ issues can cause an enlarged/bloated tummy. Might be worth getting it checked out by a doctor to rule out anything serious.

Thank you! He’s a boy though, despite the fact that we call him Dolly most of the time, he’s a mean boy but does enjoy cuddles and being petted especially when he’s shedding and wants his eyes rubbed :)

Chicken hawks?

Iguana? Yup! This is Chilee AKA Dolly AKA Baby

Hmmmm🤔 lizard or snake?
Lizard, but which kind? Hint... he’s 17 or 18 years old now.
-
Lamb or baby goat ?
Nope :) he’s not even what’s considered traditionally a “cuddly” animal, although he does like to cuddle sometimes.

I’m 45.5 years old, 6+ years in maintenance mode. I “knowingly allowed” myself to eat a bit more during the lockdown and ended up a total of 6 lbs over my goal weight, which is a little bit out of my maintenance buffer zone so I decided to start logging again in mid April. I dusted off the old food scale and did more home…

I don’t log consistently since my initial weight loss over 6 years ago. But back when I was logging, I learned what my portion sizes should actually look like so I’m pretty good at eyeballing how much I should be eating to maintain, the hard part is staying honest with myself about it ;) but I weigh myself every few weeks…

Chilee (but we also call him Dolly or Baby)

A pet rat?

Cradle of Filth, Hellyeah, Opeth, Babymetal :#

I never followed any eating plan and always ate what I wanted when I wanted... just not as much as I wanted :# so I lost by using portion control. I actually ate plenty of “fast food” and “junk foods” while losing, just staying within my calorie allowance. I lost 43 lbs and have kept it off for 6+ years. I still eat…

My new year’s resolution was to “shop less” so the stores being closed due to the pandemic have made this goal easy to achieve so far. I also had 4 lbs to lost since the end of last summer and I added 2 lbs on top of that during lockdown which put me over my maintenance buffer range so I needed to lose those. In mid April…

I got my weight under control to reverse some health problems my obesity was causing and to be a good example to my son. That was 6+ years ago and I’ve been able to maintain a healthy weight ever since. I think it’s fantastic that you are motivated to improve your health for the sake of your loved ones! <3 Friend request…

When I was obese my cholesterol was perfectly fine and stayed that way after reaching my goal weight and starting regular exercise for the first time in my life, so clearly genetics at work there. My BF had high cholesterol and his did improve once he began exercising and has stayed at normal levels now that he’s a runner…

After a lifetime of being sedentary, 6 years ago I discovered barefoot trail running and it’s become my true passion! :)

I eat back every last calorie earned by purposeful exercise. I have learned which calculators work best for me over months/years of trial and error and seeing how my weight trends with the calculations. Most calorie burn calculations are high so it’s been integral to my weight management to pay attention to how my weight…

They get off on making others miserable, it makes them feel “superior”. Sometimes it’s done unintentionally on occasion (we’ve all made mistakes) but some people make it their life’s purpose to make others suffer emotionally and mentally, it’s disgusting.

I used to think I didn’t have time for meal planning/exercise. Then my obesity caused me to start having medical issues. I began to realize I could make time for diet and exercise or I could make time to go to more doctors appointments, pick up more and more prescriptions at the pharmacy, make time to plan my insulin…

My new makeup and hair routine saves me soooo much time! I’m literally ready to go out in 5 seconds flat! :D

I’m really really close to reaching my summer weight goal and already feeling much more confident in my summer outfits B)

I began walking, hiking and running completely barefoot (trail and pavement) over 6 years ago and I love it! I’ve definitely noticed much stronger feet/ankles. Xero shoes has many many different styles of zero drop/barefoot shoes so I’d advise to check out their website. Lots of good info there too. I own their DIY sandals…

You should definitely call your doctor and have them give you some advice over the phone at least. I can tell you I have suffered something that sounds a bit similar but not exactly the same. I had a kidney stone that was so painful it caused me labored breathing and after the stone had passed I was left with a sharp pain…
