Thanks for the shoutout @MaltedTea :) Regular shoes caused me a lot of pain when running so out of desperation I tried barefoot and minimal shoes. Here’s my experience... I transitioned about 7 years ago to barefoot running although I do sometimes wear the DIY Xero running sandals when it isn’t optimal to go bare. I began…

I walk, hike and run outside. It’s free for me because I buy no gear and I don’t wear shoes. Barefoot trail running is my true passion and it’s been instrumental in keeping me fit and maintaining my weight loss for the past 7 years. I don’t generally recommend it though, it fits with my lifestyle and it’s the only way I…

Major multiple fibroid sufferer here, although I’ve had treatment for them that I’ll get into in a bit. I’ve had fibroids since my late 30’s and done a ton of research about them over the years but I’m no expert by any stretch of the imagination so take this as only my personal opinion and experience and definitely consult…

@MaltedTea @alteredsteve175 Thanks! <3 The bikini pix are fun but what I’m REALLY proud of is what this mom bod can do:

Thanks! Yep that’s me, I’m still at it and it’s still so much fun! <3 :)

Thank you! It’s been a loooooong process of accepting my body, I hated my curves when I was younger but I’ve made peace with them and now in my 40’s I love <3 wearing bikinis and form fitting clothes, whereas in my younger days I wouldn’t ever wear anything as revealing and spent all my time in baggy clothes trying to hide…

Age 46 here and mother of one adult child. This year we had a mini heat wave and I was able to be out on the beach as late as mid-October and I love being out in my bikini as often as i can. I do not have a perfect body but I’m healthier now that I’m a normal BMI and exercise regularly. I’ve learned to accept it as the…

I can definitely see a difference, fantastic progress! :) I’m 5’11” and reached my goal weight of 167 lbs and have maintained it for a few years. I remember it took awhile for the weight loss to show up but just stay the course and you will eventually get there! Feel free to add me :)

Thanks! <3 :)

My resting pulse rate is 44, I’m a runner and age 46 but have no symptoms of a slow heart rate so it’s just “my normal”. If you do have bradycardia you would have very noticeable symptoms: fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion, fainting, shortness of breath, difficulty exercising, etc. Are you having any of these…

Thanks! :) I was not happy with my curvy figure when I was younger but I’ve learned to <3 love it!

Type 2 diabetes runs rampant in my family so it’s something I do worry about. Even though I lost my excess lbs and have maintained a healthy weight for many years I still have my fasting blood glucose tested once a year at my regular physical and this year my doctor ordered to test my A1C which reflects average blood sugar…

I suspected my health was improving when my liver stopped aching (from NAFLD) and I wasn’t out of breath from walking up a single flight of stairs or around the block anymore. I knew for sure my health was improving when I had bloodwork done and my numbers got closer to normal levels. It took me 5 months to see a…

I feel great in my running outfits... ... and in my summer clothes B)

My pain was in a specific spot on my sternum and my doctor said it was classic costochondritis by the fact that it didn’t hurt with shallow breathing and hurt a lot with deep breathing, that’s a telltale sign. Not sure if yours sounds the same, could it be a bruised rib? Or a strain or sprain? I didn’t do ANY arm work…

There’s obviously no way for me to know what your injury is, but anecdotally I had costochondritis from labored breathing due to kidney stone pain. My pain was higher, near the sternum to the left, just about where my heart is :s There was a very sharp stabbing pain in my chest with any deep breathing (shallow breathing…
