What's not working?

Some people say not to eat gas station sushi. I like to live dangerously.

Yeah, this

In 2010 I lost 100 pounds following a raw food diet. After 8 months, I "went off" the diet. Over the next five years I gained back the 100 I lost plus 20 more. I may have lost weight, but it didn't work for me. I now have lost over 130 pounds by simply counting calories. There's nothing to go off of. No wagon. Just life.
-
Congratulations! I'm right there with you. I just recently crossed the 130 pounds lost mark and I'm considering not weighing myself the month of January. I'm still toying with the idea, haven't committed fully.

That's exactly what juicing is. A legitimate diet is one that is balanced, includes foods you enjoy and fits your calorie needs.

Sure, you can, if you want. Or, not... If you want. You can choose to get married. Or not.

Frozen at Trader Joe's, $1.99 for a 10 or 12 oz bag. Fresh at Target, Kroger, Aldi.. around $2.99 for a 16 oz bag, I believe. It costs over $3 to buy a head of cauliflower
-
Why do you think you have too many calories? You feel that MFP gave you too many?
-
Kroger and Whole Foods I don't have a blender. And convenience. Besides, there's almost no price difference I love to mix the fresh riced cauliflower with scrambled eggs. It's one of my favorites

130 pounds so far

I have a Weight Gurus smart scale and I love it. It's more consistent and accurate than any other I've had. The app is easy to use and I love the "Weigh In Streak". It's like the log in streak on MFP but with weight. It was less expensive than the other smart scales as well

I have never seen a full episode but last Christmas I watched part of one while sitting at the airport. That trip was the turning point for me to make a change and that showed played a part in it. I sat in that airport watching it weighing just under 400 pounds. I remember thinking at the time that I was EXACTLY halfway…

Those aren't weird numbers at all. Those are completely normal, very small fluctuations in weight

Regardless of intent and all else, having been a fat kid, a fat adolescent, a fat teenager and a fat adult I can tell you someone [anyone] saying that would not help the situation. Ever.

I use the frozen meals frequently. They're convenient, cheap, low calorie and with vegetables make a fine lunch. The balance works well for me. A can of soup and a bag of frozen vegetables has the same effect as the frozen meals.

I switched from a 2 pound a week deficit to a 1 pound a week deficit for the time from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I don't see why it would be a bad idea if it works for you and your goals. It certainly works for mine.

Not even close. The side effects of this medicine are horrifying for some people. I was lucky and only suffered neuropathy while on it. My sister, and many, many others were not so lucky. There was a thread a few months ago about it that was very informative. It's worth a search

Still waiting for my letter from Hogwarts..

I've also experienced both of those. They both suck. Gall bladder attacks with pancreatitis........ Worst. Ever.

I wish very much that that were true for me but unfortunately it hasn't been :( I've lost 130 pounds while walking, and now jogging, every single day and have seen no improvement whatsoever in my asthma.
-
Yep. The more people who understand this the better off we'll all be

Anything in the 40s and below has my lungs burning. If it's below 30 I can barely walk to the car without an attack

I use the self checkout.

For me it wasn't even that fact that I was 3 pounds away from breaking 400.. it was the day I found a sore in one of the fat folds on my thigh. That's what did it. I'm happy to say that 10 months and 130 pounds lighter that fat fold and sore and long gone.
