I had a C-section but never had a flat tummy before that. I am losing belly fat but I'm not sure if my stomach will ever be flat. I have no feeling around the area of my C-section scar and it's been almost 5 years, so that might play into my ability to lose all of my belly fat (idk - I'm not an expert). That said, I do…

I tried "eating clean" for a couple of months prior to starting Weight Watchers or MFP and I GAINED. I cut out soda, processed and refined foods. Now, granted, I wasn't counting calories but I really didn't see a benefit. I was miserable because I was missing out on the foods I like. Now, I'm counting calories and enjoying…

I try to bank calories during the week for the weekend, get some good cardio in and plan ahead for what I'm eating. I also try really hard not to keep things in the house that I like to munch on, but that's hard with a 4 year old around. I'm not much of a morning person so I usually skip breakfast on the weekends so I can…

I'm 5'1" 180lbs, hourglass shape but not sure of my current measurments I hate how much sizes vary from brand to brand! I have a wide range in my closet but 12 is my go-to size right now and I'm hoping to be in a size 10 after I drop another 5ish lbs. I'll probably always wear a L top because I'm a DD cup and don't seem to…

Thanks! I'm doing ok on 1200 calories a day, plus eating back a some of my exercise calories when I need to, so I'll stick with it as long as I can.

Mine is open to friends, feel free to add me. My eating habits are far from perfect, but I've been losing an average of 1.4lbs/week for 3 months (just joined MFP about a month ago). I also only track calories, for the most part.
-
I allow myself to have the things I like and crave, for the most part, just in smaller portions and I plan ahead for them. I've found that as I've been eating healthier, I tend to eat less than I used to when I do indulge. There are some things I just stay away from because I've decided the high calories just aren't worth…

I agree that they aren't worth the $ and just don't work. I've tried many and no results, EVER. I wasn't a coffee drinker until recently but I really think it helps keep me on track ... fills me up and I swear I've been losing weight faster since I started drinking it! I don't like regular coffee but found some 3 calorie…

My weight fluctuates A LOT from day to day. I weigh myself once a week, first thing in the AM (after going to the bathroom), with no clothes on. That's the number I go with but sometimes I won't see a loss one week after sticking to my plan very strictly and the next I'll lose 2.5-3lbs. I've learned to look at what I've…

Feta is ah-mazing! I made this dish with feta this week, except I roasted it in the oven instead of cooking it in a skillet. So good, low cal and also pretty good warmed up for leftovers. http://www.skinnytaste.com/skillet-mexican-zucchini/

Feeling full ... and nachos. Oh, how I miss nachos! I refuse to give up alcohol, though. I don't log it either and I've still been losing an average of 1.4lbs a week so I'm going with it until that changes. It keeps me sane.
-
I pre-log a lot and it helps me stay on track. If I have some calories to spare and get hungry in the afternoon, I know I can have a small snack without going over for the day since I already know what I'm eating calorie-wise for dinner. I find pre-logging especially helpful if I'm going out to eat - I do my research…

I mostly pay attention to calories but if I notice I'm consistently going over in another area, like sodium or fat, I'll make a conscious effort to cut that back.

I'm 5'1 and 36 years old. Down 15lbs since January. My original goal was to lose 20lbs and now I'm going for 25-30 ... basically whatever I can lose before summer, then I plan to maintain. Add me!

I find that tracking measurements helps. Sometimes, the # on the scale is the same but I've lost inches or my clothes fit better. I also have a scale that measures body fat % and I sometimes see that # go down even when my weight doesn't.

I enjoy Zumba and kickboxing, and both can be modified to your ability. I also did the True Beginner series on Daily Burn - you can get a free trial for 30 days to see if you like it. And I swear I don't get paid to promote DB - I just really love it right now and keeping talking about it!
-
Have you tried Daily Burn? You can get a free trial for 30 days, then it's only $13 or so per month. I got tired of YouTube videos and switched to DB. It helped me get motivated again and I'm working out 5-6 days a week now. Also, maybe mix it up with something like Zumba for cardio? Lots of those videos on YouTube and…

I started with 2-3 days a week and now I'm up to 5-6 days, although some of those days might include mowing the lawn for 2 hours vs a cardio dance workout or something. I have gotten more creative about getting extra movement in my days when I don't feel like a traditional workout. Daily Burn is what got me to 5-6 days a…

This is me ... hourglass with bubble butt and generous chest, even when I was a size 4-6 (currently size 12). I think I'm losing a little in my chest but my waist is also getting smaller so it doesn't really look like it. I'm also only 5'1". Seriously considering a breast reduction when I reach my goal weight. :) Anyway, I…

I'm also considering a Fitbit but wondering what the benefits are beyond counting steps. If Fitbit doesn't accurately track calories burned, is there something out there that is better?
-
I suffered from chronic tension headaches for quite awhile and back then ANY exercise would make them worse. I finally got them under control, as far as no longer getting them chronically but I do still get headaches after a pretty vigorous workout and I suspect it could be my form. Anyway, if I feel one coming on or had a…

I understand your frustrations after a pretty big loss in your 1st two weeks. It sounds like you're doing great! I have experienced similar frustrations and have found that some weeks I lose more than others, even though I feel like I've been eating similar amounts of calories and doing similar amounts of exercise. I'm on…

I have tried wraps in the past and the results were very temporary (had a friend who sold them - It Works ... but it doesn't, lol). Not worth it. I do have a comfortable piece of shapewear that I wear under dresses to create a smoother look. It's stretchy and actually comfortable but it doesn't make me look thinner, works…

I keep a stash of Lean Cuisine, SmartOnes and Healthy Choice meals in the freezer at home to take when I don't have leftovers. I know that many of them are "processed" and there are better choices, but they keep my calorie intake in check and prevent me from going out to lunch. I usually have fruit or raw veggies, too.
-
I traveled for work last month for two straight weeks and it was hard to stay on track. I told myself I would feel ok about it as long as I didn't gain. I ended up eating more than usual but tried to make smart choices, and I made time to hit the hotel gym as much as possible. I ended up maintaining for those two weeks. I…

I recently switched from WW to MFP (nearing end of my second week using MFP). I lost 30lbs on WW almost 10 years ago and it worked much better for me back then - but I was under 30 and the plan was different. I joined WW in January and gave the new plan 2 months before deciding I didn't like it. I lost 10lbs and plateaued…

Hope I'm not too late to jump in on this but I want to lose 20lbs by June! I just joined MFP after 2 months of Weight Watchers. I was losing very slowly and I'm already seeing more progress with MFP - yay! SW: 194.8 (1/11/16) CW: 182.6 GW: 162

I'm new here and would love to connect with new people. It's great to have a support network!

I love to roast veggies - zucchini, squash & mushrooms - in a little bit of olive oil, salt, pepper and basil. When they are almost done, I sprinkle just a little bit of parmesan cheese on them. So good! I also like to make baked sweet potato fries at home. I don't like sweet potatoes most of the time but these are good! I…
