Just going off your foods listed you should probably be consuming more protein. Eggs seems like your main protein source if there’s no meat in your curry. Eggs are great but 3 eggs is only about 21 grams of protein. And milk and peanut butter have some protein but not enough if you’re wanting to really build muscle. A…

I’m on Mike Matthews’ Bigger Leaner Stronger program. The split is as follows- Day 1- chest and abs (I throw in 3 sets of triceps at the end of this workout though the program doesn’t require it) Day 2- back and calves (I do 3 sets of bicep curls at the end of this workout though, again, the program doesn’t require it) Day…

Man I wish my rest sets were 90 seconds 😭 when I’m cutting I superset everything and never take a break. Now that I’m bulking the plan I’m on has me resting 3 mins between sets if I hit my goal of reps on the previous set and 4 mins if I don’t. It’s a pain in the *kitten* lol. I generally have a podcast going in my…

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song.... because I have a 2 year old lol.

I love Breaking the Waves! Von Trier is fantastic. Dancer in the Dark is heartbreaking but amazing, too.

I’ve lost 85 lbs in the last few years, I don’t have any shirtless pics from back then (intentionally!) but I did fall off the wagon for a bit so here’s some from this past January to now (which my phone posted out of order lol). :)

Ah no worries. Hard to detect sarcasm so I was checking lol 😂 Thanks

I guess it’s not advice but I’ve got a friend who’s trying like hell to bulk on a keto diet and isn’t having any success. He can’t figure out why. 🤷🏻♂️🤔

Lol I’ll take that. Thank you.

Do watch the mirror but things like waist measurements and body fat calibers are useful tools as well 👍🏻

Depends on the program for sure, and goals. But assuming that since you’re in the bodybuilding section you’re probably trying to put on weight I’d err on the side of 2-3 mins rest, personally. I generally rest 3 mins between weight training sets. I don’t tend to rest for ab work, I treat that as more of a circuit at the…

If you’re around 10% then I’d start bulking. Figure out your total daily energy expenditure and add about 250 calories a day to that and see how your body reacts for a couple weeks. You might try reverse dieting up to your TDEE first. You might gain a bit of weight at first but that’s normal, it’s your glycogen stores…

“Dexter”, “Game of Thrones” or food network are always my backups. I’ve watched “dexter” and “GOT” over and over but they’re quite rewatchable!

I was reading “A Brief History of Everything” by Bill Bryson but I kind of got into a Stephen King kick thanks to the new “It” film. Currently I’m reading his book “Insomnia” after having just finished “Pet Sematary”. I also re-read “The Hobbit” and “LOTR” earlier this year.

Hey, I’m down to make some friends too so feel free to send FRs my way. And OP you look great!

I’ve lost 90 lbs. The last 45 of it was sans cardio. You don’t “need it”, you should lift weights and eat at a caloric deficit.

The diet advice above is good stuff. As far as workout routine I’d do something that’s based off of compound movements like squats, deadlifts, bench presses, military presses and pull ups. Something like StrongLifts or I’m personally on Mike Matthew’s Bigger Leaner Stronger program and am loving it. At first glance it…

I don’t think 3,000 is too high if youve only gained 3-4 lbs over 4 weeks. There’s nothing wrong with gaining at that rate, especially since if you’re coming off a cut your body will need to replenish glycogen stores which usually means you’ll gain a few lbs right off the bat. Just give it a few more weeks, weigh yourself…

Thanks everyone :)

I’ve had issues with my rotator cuff and shoulder subluxation so I will never do behind the back shoulder press.

There are a couple here from before a cut I started in February and a couple here from just a few weeks ago in May before I started bulking for the first time. :)
