I had this start happening when I started working out a lot. I won’t use the gym shower room (if you saw it you would understand why) so I drive 20-30 min home to shower. I did see my doctor because mine is a combination of pimples and painful boils. She said I needed to start showering immediately at the gym rather than…

5-7 days a week depending on how I feel. On Tue/Thur I have double days where I trail run before work and go to Jazzercize in the evening. The other days I lift 2-3 days and do heavy bag boxing workouts 1-2 days. Sometimes I split lifting then box after. Sometimes I add an extra run on Saturday’s - basically I’m very…

I’ll probably run Saturday if the weather is nice. If it’s cold I’ll take a rest day. I meet a group of women to lift every Sunday together. They are doing a race Saturday that I didn’t register for in time

Average 60-70oz a day

I’ll be curious to see the results of the second study being conducted. I know I personally am less bloated when I eat less starchy and grain based carbs. That is bloat though and not fat. I didn’t see any mention of body composition in the link. I have my macros very balanced now after getting gallstones when I did LCHF…

That’s going to be really individual so I can’t really. I incorporate a lot of lower body strength moves with my cardio twice a week when I go to Jazzercize. I also lift heavy a few days a week - I choose which muscles to work at the gym based on what isn’t sore or hasn’t been worked recently. I also enjoy boxing and trail…

I’m a mom with a 13 year old son and a 16 year old step daughter. They both filled out and got a little rounder before each growth spurt. It’s normal and needs to happen. I personally would make sure she knew how normal it is and maybe also check if her height has changed - because if it hasn’t it is probably about to.…

I weigh daily and track with trendweight. I have noticed though that the day after my weekly rest day is usually when my weight is the lowest. I take one rest day a week where I will occasionally still go hiking or do something light but it’s usually reserved for foam rolling and an Epsom bubble bath....I am really looking…

I usually work out after work but a few days I also run first on my way in, only 2.5-4 miles. I don’t eat before my morning runs and only have coffee first. I do eat within an hour after

Have you tried Pilates? There are lots of Pilates moves that target lower body and pretty much all work your core too. Additionally for legs and glutes - hip bridges, forward lunges, reverse lunges, side leg raises, donkey kicks to name a few options

One thing I could suggest is daily weighing with a trend tracker. You can even track your weight trend in the FitBit app. I use FitBit and trendweight personally. When looking at the trends you can see on any given day what things may affect your weigh ins. You can also see what your normal fluctuations look like for your…

If you give up though than how do you ever reach your goals? Doesn’t it make more sense to change your approach? Edited to add a personal note - it took me around 2yr to lose 30lb while maintaining (even adding a little) muscle. It was slow and frustrating at times. I went many weeks without seeing movement. I reached my…

I only have 2-3 day periods and I definitely bloat up starting 1-2 days before. I don’t even bother trying to wear certain outfits. They won’t fit. Within 24hr of my period ending it’s all back to normal. I’ve noticed lately that when I ovulate I actually swell up even more. This didn’t used to happen. Now I will gain as…

The one I get fairly regularly is “You don’t need to worry about what you eat because you work out.”

5k jog this morning and Jazzercize class after work

Thank you. That is what I meant. I went for a run then was driving. Sorry I didn’t see this until now to respond myself

I exhale on the effort part of the lift

You’ll be fine. It was one day. You can take an extra 100 calories off of your intake for the next few days and it will balance out if you’re worried about it.

Another recommendation to see your doctor. I started getting dizzy and almost fainting during workouts almost a year ago. I ignored it and it started happening other times too before going to the doctor finally. In my case its nothing serious. I ended up having low blood pressure and low sodium. I changed a few things and…

The most I’ve gained overnight was 12lb. I had a lot of Chinese takeout the day before, a heavy lifting session, and I was PMsing. In 3 days all but 4lb was gone and that last part was gone a week later.

I just came across this on my Instagram scrolling and it seemed relevant here

Weight fluctuations are normal. My weight can change by as much as 4lb in a day depending on what time I weigh in. I think the biggest issue here is expectations. I’ve had weeks where my weight jumped 4-6lb for no reason and then a few weeks later dropped it all plus 1-2lb more. You can’t control that. I still hit my goal.…

All calories count no matter where they come from or how they are consumed

Yes, through out my whole loss phase I pre-logged special planned meals and events and then I could plan my week around it so I maintained my deficit without missing out
-
I don't cheat. I eat whatever I want so there is no need. And as long as my weekly averages stay in place I don't worry about the day to day. All I really care about is weekly calorie goals and hitting adequate protein for proper muscle repair/growth.

I just transitioned to maintenance myself. I’m continuing my workouts for body composition and fitness. I gained 6lb the week I initially transitioned and almost panicked but it’s evened out now. I am at the top of my maintenance range but feeling good. Congratulations on reaching your goal
-
While 0.5lb of weight lost per week is s steady and acceptable rate you should be able to lose 1lb a week. I’d suggest using a good scale and tightening up your intake if you are unhappy with your current rate of loss. You say you’re eating more calories so I think you already know what the problem is and what to do. On…

As long as I can move my body I will remain active and continue to fuel that activity appropriately

I really appreciate all of the great feedback you guys gave me. I am up 6.5lb putting me 2lb outside my maintenance range. I checked my FitBit weekly average though and I’m not worried. I had a -454 deficit for the week so I didn’t gain fat. I think a combo of more food, recovery from illness, returning to lifting after 3…

Bench day and lots of abs
