This may be a silly question but what is it measuring as “protein mass”?

Good points. When I’m in my normal routine I get 60-80oz of water a day. Right now I’m getting 48-60oz so it is down some.

Thank you. I think this is what I needed to hear. I have never gone this many days without eating or having a fever that wouldn’t break. I’m glad you’re getting better.

The reason I’m concerned it is muscle and not water is because I’m basically living off of water and Gatorade. The doctor said I’m not dehydrated when I went to urgent care. I have been able to consume water and gatorade

Here is an interesting read for you, specifically table 2 of the findings after the study. While both the rapid and slower weight loss groups had improved health markers, rapid even showing more improvement in some areas, the slower weight loss group definitely had more favorable body composition results and improved body…

I read the thread and have not seen one reputable source supporting your claim.

Beachbody has some good workouts. I’ve never been a fan of their shakes or supplements but have done and enjoyed the workouts. They pretty much all have a modifier option too which I like

I went paleo when first diagnosed with a wheat germ allergy. I found that while I feel better avoiding dairy (less bloated and more regular) I wasn’t willing to give up cheese if I didn’t 100% have to. I do think you could find a lot of good paleo recipes though that may help you. I’ll second what so many have said though…

Going back to the OPs question this comment explains all the more why a slower rate of loss to protect existing muscle mass is crucial, especially if someone is not planning to bulk and build additional muscle mass later. Protecting and maintaining muscle mass as we age is crucial to long term health and quality of life…

She is definitely more toned in appearance

The definition is the legs and abs shows more with a tan true but if you look at the before there was no real muscle definition before the tan at all. I bet she feels 100xs better too

For me I wasn’t willing to sacrifice muscle to hit a number on the scale faster. Slower weight loss while eating high protein and lifting heavy allowed me to still reach my healthy weight but in a way that also maintained muscle. I want to be fit, not skinny

I weigh almost every day and use trendweight

I’m in a similar boat. Same height and pear shaped with a narrow waist and a booty. I’ve found that the vintage high waisted items are cut more to this shape.

I’m right between 5’7”-5’8” and 157lb. Size varies a lot by store but usually I’m a M top, 8US pants, and 6 in dresses. GW 148-150

Irritated isn’t the right word for me. There were points when I found myself a little envious because it looked easier for others. Then I got to know them. It wasn’t easier for them they were just doing things I wasn’t. One gym friend was constantly telling me she didn’t count what she ate and had simply reduced her…

I’ve had cellulite since puberty (11yr old) and I was never over weight until I got pregnant with my son (24 yr old). Some people are just going to have it no matter what and I’m one of them. I’m now almost 40 with bf% 23-34 and still have it some. It is less noticeable the more weight training I do but I don’t expect to…

I’ve had multiple knee injuries on my journey. I have a partially detached MCL on my left knee and in the past three years have injured my right twice, meniscus tear and then a tibia plateau fracture a year later. Each injury left me unable to bear weight for weeks at a time. I have arthritis in both knees now, per MRI,…

Ran 3miles before work this morning

Yes, the FitBit adjustment includes all activity tracked in FitBit that day.

I maintained for awhile after my last bulk at the top end of BMI and recently started cutting again with an updated goal weight. I’d like to hit my new GW before my anniversary in May, ideally before I take my son on vacation the beginning of April. It’s only 10lb but I worked hard to gain muscle so I’m losing slow and…

Our rains stopped this past weekend and I’ve hit the trail twice so far. Hoping the ground stays dry so I can get out a few more days this week.

Now that our storm season is ending I'm looking forward to getting back on my run schedule. I run 2-3 days a week 3-4 miles at a time. It isn't a lot but works for me. Goal for February is to hit a minimum of 5 miles a week while I work back up after not running much Dec/Jan

I’m 5’7.5” 39 yr old female and mostly sedentary outside of my workouts (which are fairly intense 60-90 min a day). Currently 158 with an updated GW range of 145-150. If I want to lose weight I have to eat 1600-1800 calories and I lose an average of 0.5lb a week. I won’t go lower. I’d been maintaining 160-164 at around 2200

My day got derailed when my husband ended up in the ER this morning with acute pancreatitis. I missed my scheduled workout and ended up eating high calorie convenience foods at the deli near the hospital. I went about 300 calories over maintenance. I’m not worried about it though. Tonight my husband is home resting and…

Do you have the strong lifts app? You can download it free to your phone and it will guide all of your workouts. I use that program off and on and you’re welcome to add me. What are your specific goals? Adding or maintaining muscle while losing fat? If that is your goal make sure you have a small deficit 200-300cals a day…

It definitely takes getting used to. I can’t do yoga like I did before because it is so much harder to balance. I bet I could swim fast though if I tried....having flippers now lol My son is 13 so I’ve had time to adjust but I would like to fix it if possible with relatively low risks

Daily and I look at the trend line over time to track progress

I’m curious to see what kind of responses you get. I’m flat footed and it has definitely made me prone to shin splints and a variety of other issues. I wasn’t born this way. My arches collapsed when I was pregnant with my son.
