Welcome and congrats!!!

I use my gear2 these days but I'm so tempted to start wearing my fitbit too so that it syncs up with MFP. LOL!

I'm a huge fan of a nice steak with a bunch of veggies and a salad.

Check this out and see if it helps. http://thehightowerproject.blogspot.com/2016/03/water-for-weight-loss.html

I'm at 51 days, 21 lbs lost, 130lbs to go. Add me if you like!

Welcome back!
-
I was eating 1200 and not losing weight and bumped up to 1550 and started losing weight right away - and I'm not breastfeeding. I think you need to up your intake.

Each meal is a battle. Some you win, some you lose. Accept your losses and celebrate your wins, and don't get down on yourself. You got this!

Just a thought - have you been measuring yourself as well as weighing? Don't get hung up on one number. You could be losing fat and gaining muscle.

Oh boy, you're one of those. I reduced my intake of diet coke and started drinking more water *which caused me to stop craving sweets as much* which reduced my calorie intake and caused me to have better energy, which caused me to drop six pounds in a week. Once again, as I stress in pretty much all of my posts, what's…

I posted this on another thread and it wasn't super popular, but I'll post it here too. I went from drinking 64 ounces of diet coke a day to drinking 1/4 of that a day at most and the rest water and I dropped 6 lbs in a week. My thought - if you really want to know if diet coke has an effect on your weight loss or not, do…

Holy geez, you're killing it. Awesome!

I wear tight leggings and shirts when I do stuff like this because of the fat smacking fat issue. I also only do heavy cardio at home where no one can see me. I sympathize.

I could spend all day confessing. I'll pick this one. I buy things like candy and donuts and bring them to work for other people because if I can't have them, I want other people to enjoy them. Except that I know I'm also sabotaging the efforts of other people at the same time

Welcome and congrats! :-)

"Diets" are sometimes good for jumpstarting your weightloss, but it's never intended as a long term solution. Glad you're making some positive life changes!!

I have a desk job too, where I have quotas and deadlines. I have my step counter (if you don't have one use your phone) set up to alert me every hour. I get up, walk to the other side of the building, grab some water, and walk back. It's helped a ton. I also keep low cal, prepackaged protein shakes at my desk (EAS…

You look fantastic! What an inspiration!

Protein shakes help me a lot too. I find they curb my need for sweets. I like Premier Protein (chocolate is the best) and they are only 160 calories.
-
Yep I'm the same height and weight as you. I think you'll see a lot of success there. :-)

I like the 80/20 rule...stick to your guns 80% of the time and let up on yourself 20% of the time. If you're gonna eat a "cheat meal" make it something you really enjoy. I'd be all over those chick fil a nuggets!!

When I put my info in, MFP put me at about 1900 calories. I tried that for awhile but I wasn't losing. Like I always do, I overcompensated and went to 1200. I lost weight but I was feeling unsatisfied and hungry all the time, and I noticed that on my cheat days I lost more weight. So I started doing 1200 twice a week and…

Crazy motivating for me. I started out at 311.4 and the sheer amount I have in front of me to lose is daunting, but it helps SO MUCH to see other people killing it! I have a blog myself, The Hightower Project. Feel free to follow or add me, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
-
I'm lazy. I grab a Premier Protein shake out of the fridge.
-
I'm high protein low carb and have done Keto/Caveman Keto/Paleo in the past. Feel free to add me if you like.

Welcome Judy. Feel free to add me! :-)

The only thing that is indisputable is that nothing works the same for everyone. I'm not against diet soda - obviously. I drink it myself. Switching to MOSTLY water helped me tremendously, but what works for me doesn't work for everyone and vice versa. And thanks. :-)

The correct information that people know 100% to be true? Because there is no such thing. Otherwise they wouldn't still be studying it. Hence why people need to read up and decide what is right *for their own body and lifestyle*.

One of them is literally called Science vs Soda and details findings of researchers from the school of Medicine at UTHSC...
