Thank you for sharing your fantastic results, and congratulations on all your hard work to becoming fit and healthy!! You look wonderful! Do you have any advice or resources to recommend for other women who want to start a progressive lifting program? Many thanks!

My favorite part was "Don't look backward. You're not going there anyway." Thank you for sharing your story. It was moving and insightful. You look so much happier now, and your radiance really shines through. I sent you a friend request. Feel free to accept or deny as you feel comfortable with. Best wishes on the rest of…

I'm another budget bytes devotee. I also recommend trying Aldi if there's one near you. Shopping there, planning out my meals and cooking most of my meals at home dramatically helped my grocery budget and healthy eating.

I'm in. I've been in a plateau for a month. Hoping this will help kick start my progress again.

You're doing great, and you've made significant changes already! Be proud of yourself for all that you've accomplished including being brave enough to share your midway progress!

Congratulations on all your hard work and sticking with it! Thank you for being brave enough to share your story. It's very inspiring. :)

1st goal is to lose ten percent of my starting weight (180). I've been fluctuating between 163-165 for the last month. So breaking that plateau and hitting 162 (aka 18lbs down) is my goal. I plan to buy a new pair of wireless headphones when I get there. They are wonderful for running and working out. I sweated so much I…

Thank you for sharing your journey and congratulations. I'm glad you found what worked for you, and something you could stick with. While having group support makes a huge difference, each person must still find what works for them as an individual. Best wishes and continued health to you. :)

Maybe try using a little less everyday until you develop a taste for it. It worked for me. I used to be cream and sugar, then cream and several Splenda, now just one Splenda. Your taste palette can change but it takes time. Also, buying better coffee (like others suggested) would help as well.

Leg pressed three sets of 115lbs yesterday. When I started strength training a few weeks ago, I was at 90lbs. I think the combination of running, lifting, Zumba and Tae no is paying off. The scale didn't drop this week (actually went up .4) but feeling strong kind of made up for it.

All of this. You are amazing, and I love your attitude and perspective. We can't change the *kittens* of this world, but we can change our reaction to them. Next time I'm the only girl in the weight lifting area, I'm going to keep this in mind. Wonderful job and thank you for sharing your story.

Great job! That's amazing progress! And thank you for sharing. I've been weight training one day a week, but after seeing your results I'm going to increase that. I also checked out the free blended work outs on YouTube. Did you have a lower body one that you particularly liked? Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Hmmm ok I tried to reply and all it posted was the quote. Gonna assume operator error on my part. Anyway, thank you

I would LOVE to try zumba...or kick boxing.....hows the zumba going ? Is it true you burn almost 1000 calories per session?[/quote]. I couldn't really tell you how much Zumba burns. So much depends on your body composition and how enthusiastic you are. I usually give it my all as I love to dance, and MFP usually estimates…

I'm 5'6" with a starting weight of 180. I'm 55 days in, and down 8 lbs. I set it for 1 lb per week, so I'm on track. Going for the slow and steady approach to try and lose fat but build muscle. I also want this to be a sustainable lifestyle after I reach my goal, which is 135-140. I take a couple rest days per week from…

Wonderful job! I love that you rewarded yourself with non food treats as you hit your smaller goals. I think I'm going to follow your example on that. A ten percent loss of my starting weight will mean a deluxe pedicure. :)

Yes, I would generally rather eat my calories then drink them. Also when I drink, I get the munchies in a big way. So basically a recipe for overeating and poor choices.

Me too please!

Mine's open, feel free to add me! I could use some extra ideas and support too. I cook a lot so you'll see a lot of recipe based foods. Let me know if there's any recipes you're curious about. :)

This is amazing and thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your story. I can relate to so much of this. Please feel free to add me if you need another friend on here.

I'll add you! I could use some support as well!

Add me please! I'm back here after losing 60 lbs a few years ago and then gaining back about 50 of it. So disappointed in myself for that, but trying to focus on the present. I can't change the past, but I can do better this time around.

Add me too please! I could use an accountability friend.
