I take a magnesium/potassium supplement because I suffer from terrible restless leg syndrome and the prescription medication for it makes me sick.

Hi, M2Marsh! I remember you from the NS boards! Nutrisytem is fantastic! I did a great job keeping the weight off, and the little bit I gained back is off again and then some. Nice to see you!

Thanks so much for the tips and suggestions. Junodog1, I am going on the Norwegian Cruise Lines. 7 days to Bermuda. My mom and I are doing it together. We do have snorkeling and kayaking excursions booked, and I definitely plan on taking taking advantage of the walking track on board. I also really hope volleyball is an…

Sounds like great advice! Thank you!

I LOVE pretzels!

I used Nutrisystem religiously 3 years ago and lost 70 pounds in about 9 months. I loved it and did learn to eat correctly through their Flex Meals. I am currently trying to lose more weight and am again using NS. The frozen foods now are so great! Now that I also use MFP and count calories, I don't rely solely on NS and…

That makes perfect sense! Thank you.

So good to know! Thanks!

Thank you! It's nice to hear that other people have the same issues with the stupid scale. Here is something awesome... I have been exercising a ton. I have been walking 5.5 miles on a loop around a hilly golf course 6 days a week for the past month and half. Last Saturday I decided to try running part of it. I was…

Thank you! By the way, Nutrisystem has worked really well for me. Look at my profile picture. Three years ago I lost 70 pounds on it. It actually did teach me to eat in regards to serving sizes and macros. I use it now because I live alone and the frozen foods are excellent!! I did gain a little back, but have since then…

I just went to the doctor last week and refused to be weighed on their scale. I just told them that I seriously dieting and had weighed myself that morning. The nurse used rhe weight I gave her.

3 years ago I was right where you are Christina, except one inch taller and 10 pounds heavier. I did Nutrisystem for 9 months and lost 70 pounds. Everyone on the Nutrisystem boards ranted and raved about MyFitnessPal, but I was happy with logging everything into the NS site and never checked it out. Nutrisystem was…

Thanks, Abby2205, that's exactly what I was looking for! :)

This is what I was thinking. I realize that the discrepancies are not a big deal in the great scheme of things. I was just really HUNGRY yesterday, but was reluctant to eat my calories back when I wasn't sure if I had actually earned them. I did eat enough to not go to bed hungry, however! Thank you for all the replies!

That is actually my point, Jcl81. My exercise was way more intense on the day I got fewer calories back.
-
This is true, jemhh! LOL! But I was given so many calories back yesterday and only did an easy 3.5 mile walk (plus, regular steps) That is where my concern was. Why so many calories back?
-
Good one!!!! ;)

Thank you!

For sure I am walking that far. It is a measured loop that I do. The interesting thing is that the calories burned are the same on both devices. I didn't realize that, so I won't worry about it.

I suggest you food prep for the entire week. I have portioned bags of almonds (for my mid morning snack) and diced chicken all ready to go. I also cut up all my vegetables for salads. Each night I fix one tupperware container full of lettuce and another with all the mixed veggies. I also add in black beans, roasted…

My calories are set at 1200 which is the lowest a woman should go. I wasn't losing any weight until I started eating back some of my exercise calories. It is scary to add 200-300 calories, but it really makes a difference!

I loved reading all the responses! Thanks for making my day! I drink a Diet Coke everyday. Makes me SO happy!
-
But why are they so different?
-
My weight wasn't budging until I starting syncing my Fitbit to MFP. I wasn't eating ENOUGH food.
-
My activity level is lightly active. I run slowly, 11 minute miles. Walk 3.5 mph.
-
Thanks again.
-
Thank you so much! I will just leave it up to Fitbit. I don't really want to eat the calories, but if I am only eating 1200 calories a day, should I?

If my fitbit is synced to MFP and I go for a run with my iphone app and enter that run into MFP will the steps be double counted?
