Question about trackers

I wear a Fitbit Flex to track my daily movements, but when I walk or run I also use Runkeeper. Today I walked 5.5 miles, but my Fitbit Flex only has me at barely 4 miles. What is causing this discrepancy? I am pretty positive that my stride length is correct in the Fitbit and the Runkeeper uses GPS. I don't log my info from Runkeeper, just the Fitbit.

Did you look at your map after you finished? I've had times where Runkeeper's GPS goes crazy and "moves" me around, which will add distance.0

For sure I am walking that far. It is a measured loop that I do. The interesting thing is that the calories burned are the same on both devices. I didn't realize that, so I won't worry about it.0

I use runkeeper and a Garmin watch for running.
None of my Fitbits (One, Flex, and Alta ... I'm a bit of a junkie) have been accurate for distance traveled.
I find the Fitbits highly accurate for calorie count and steps though.0 -
