  • I drink hot coffee black. Iced coffee with stevia and light cream. I like a lot of cream too so it's 200-300 of my daily calories. That's why I only get 1 cold brew a day. Worth it for me personally. But think the flavored creamers are gross. I cant drink them and only use them to make French toast.
  • It is definitely possible to burn 300 calories in that amount of time. But, the elliptical routinely tells me that I have burned 300 cals when my Garmin only gives me credit for 75-125ish.
  • I used the Roman chair (seat for vertical knee lifts, I'm not sure what it's called) to rack the barbell for squats and OHP when the squat rack was occupied. The barbell was at a decent height resting on the handles. This only works at beginner weights though, because the handles are too close to balance when loading…
  • I have stress related alopecia (hair loss). So 3-4 times in the last 20 years I've developed circular bald spots. The first time was the worst and I was 18. It was like a reverse Mohawk and took like 20 minutes to do a combover ponytail. A dermatologist told me it was stress induced. The craziest thing is that I won't feel…

  • I keep a night schedule on my off days too, it kills my social life but is so much easier on my body. I do a variation of intermittent fasting, I don't eat anything until 9 pm- except coffee. Then I stop eating by 8 am (unless I am stuck at work late). So to OP don't eat when you first wake up if that disagrees with you.…
  • I haven't tried the protein bars. The low cal bread is as good as Sarah Lee and way cheaper. Light string cheese was a miss. It's definitely worth shopping there but there is some experimentation.

  • Peter pan honey roasted peanut butter, nutella, cashews, pistachios, pecans, hard parmesan and extra sharp cheddar. I can keep all of these in my house, but once I start eating them I don't stop.
  • Not to minimize your struggle, but I don't see any sagging skin in those pics. You look great and after losing over 100 lbs your skin seems to be in great condition.
  • Wellbutrin is known to help with weight loss, it works differently than other antidepressants. Before chantix, wellbutrin was prescribed to help people quit smoking probably as much as it was for depression. Also, I think it's one of the main ingredients in the medication marketed for binge eating disorder. So, it's very…

  • Thats great progress, maybe treat yourself to a new user name...
  • You look amazing and should be proud of yourself. Probably shouldn't have your real name up though.
  • They have orange flavored prunes which are pretty good right out of the bag. But, like all dried fruits they are calorie dense.
  • I did this diet in the nineties when I was in high school. I lost 30#s that summer, close to 10 the 1st week and slightly less each successive week. But i was 14 then and didnt know any better, I really believed that the food combinations somehow magically affected my metabolism. I did keep the weight off for several…
  • Your Garmin should tell you how many calories you burned for the day. It's not on the app, but it's on the Garmin itself. Check that # before you go to sleep. Then average that out after a week and subtract 250 calories from the average. That's should be your calorie goal to lose a half a pound per week.
  • OP, I think your hubby might have been deflecting when he said he said that he was testing you. Because he said it in the middle of a fight after you accused him of sabotage. It was a lame attempt at defense. Move forward with your goals, he should fall in line once he sees you are serious. Also, try not to give him that…

  • I used to count the day from when I woke up til I went to bed. So after midnight I'd just add to the previous day's diary. But I struggle with my eating most between 4 and 9 am, so now I changed the meals in my diary to 4 hour blocks of time( 0000-0400, ect). This works better for me personally since I'm not at the end of…

  • If you have bowel movements every day you definitely shouldn't take laxatives. The bloat could be gas, it's probably not constipation. I think probiotics are your best bet.
  • 17% is a low body fat. It seems unlikely that your arms, legs and stomach are "problem areas" at this percent body fat. What is the goal weight you are trying to reach? Your low intake as well as your fear of recomp/ maintaining are concerning.
  • @150poundsofme That would be so disheartening. Consider buying at least one new (to you) outfit when you lose 20-30 pounds. Seeing the change in size could be the incentive that keeps you progressing.
  • Get checked by a PCP, there are multiple conditions that can negatively affect fertility. But even if you had those conditions it's still possible to concieve. Keep working on your weight as you are. Dont worry about surgery unless and until your PCP tells you that your weight is so dangerous that you need it.
  • Me too. I don't mind that they shrink, but they deflate so that sucks.
  • He was able to drive out of town and go to multiple stores restaurants ect. It is possible that he is manipulating OP into doing ALL the errands she is doing. Does he really even need rides to his appointments? It looks like this is all a scam that he's able to pull off somehow by taking advantage of OP's guilt and sense…
  • I set my MFP activity level at sedentary, so steps automatically are added as earned exercise calories. I don't set the Garmin to activities even when I exercise, I still earn calories though because my heart rate increases. I do it this way because I want to avoid accidentally having my exercise calories doubled.
  • This might be unnecessarily difficult. Paleo has so many restrictions and can be meat focused, it will probably get very expensive quickly. I am also pescatarian, but when a trainer tried to get me to go paleo, that was a nope. I'm sorry that I have no actual advice. It is possible to limit sugar and processed foods…
  • After gastric bypass people often become deficient in vitamin B12 because is is absorbed in the part of the intestines that is removed. This is usually why people's hair thins after these surguries.

  • I think I've seen OTC iron in liquid form. It looked dark, unlikely it contains any dyes. Give the vitamin section of your local big box store a look, you will probably find something you can take.
  • When I'm going through a stressful time my hair falls out.
  • 2.5 kilos in 5 weeks is roughly a pound a week. You are doing great!! Don't reduce your calories further, you probably should eat some of the exercise calories back. Definitely eat more protein. Lack of sufficient protein combined with high consumption of water causes fluid retention.
  • Jk, I drink my coffee black. Unless it's cold brew over ice and then I add some stevia and light cream-life changing.
