Hello, I agree with mom23mangos, Turkey is very dangerous right now, I would suggest checking the US State Department web site for warnings and try and follow Non US news to get specific details on what is happening in Turkey. I follow @nateschenkkan on twitter for news on Turkey because I watch and read more news than…

I workout 6 days a week and feel guilty on the off day, I do upper body/core/cardio day 1, lower body/core/cario day 2 and repeat, I never skip upper body days, so Friday I am scheduling an off day, if that is Upper, I will do Upper on Saturday. I really wanted to add a walk last Thursday, but it was raining so I skipped…

Feel free to add me as well, we can all help keep each other motivated and going in a positive direction. It's certainly a shock weighing in at the doctors office sometimes, but it sounds like you want to get after some weight loss. The best part, you are in control and you can do it. I have lost about 76 pounds and have…

Portion control is a big issue for many people. Me included. When you enter the food you each it will tell you the size for a serving, try and stay with it. I eat meals and snack often so the body doesn't spike want something like chocolate. I eat tons of vegetables with each meal along with meat, eating more chicken and…

Hey All, I live in Massachusetts, but a UNC fan, I think zombies are misunderstood, I too workout at Planet Fitness. I forgot to take measurements and photos, but I have gone from size 44 pants to 36, I no longer have boobs. I use a pork/chicken seasoning from a local restaurant/herb store, or Trader Joes has 21 Seasons that works well on the grill with pork chops, always adding vegis on the grill as well. If you do not have a grill start the chops in an oven safe pan, then finish them off in the oven. For spices, whatever you like and the…

I live in the Northeast. BJ's Wholesale Club (meat, fruit) Market Basket for most vegetables, eggs. I grow fruit in my yard so during June-September I have fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries in the yard, although I eat so many blueberries I also pick them at local farms. Of course the New Hampshire State…

Good for you! You will also teach your children the correct way to eat and exercise. Most of health occurs in the kitchen, about 30% in the gym or exercise. If you look at the best way to eat for you, it's not typically a numbered diet (21 day this or that) it's a lifestyle change, which is forever. Doesn't mean you cannot…

Goals: I weighed 266 lbs on 9/1/14.....I weigh in on Tuesdays, this week I weighed 190.6, my goal is 180 pounds, I did most of it in the kitchen, I only started in the gym in December of 2015. A SMALL thing: Read labels, know what is in the food you eat and what it does to your body. That then becomes a big, big thing. Good luck!

Happy to help from a different perspective, in Sept 2014 I weighed 266, today I weighed in at 190, most of the work takes place in the kitchen. I only joined a gym in December 2015. Happy to share what I did with the kitchen part, I do all the cooking in the house, so it's been interesting and fun learning what we really…

I just had a conversation with a nutrition specialist and he is also a certified cross fit trainer. He said it's a 70/30 split. 70% occurs in the kitchen, 30% in the gym. So, start in the kitchen. Find out what works for you with weight loss and get exercising, even just walking at first, something to get yourself moving.…
