Do you live in the UK? As daft as it sounds if you're outside more in the spring air it could be a touch of hayfever! Does it go off after you finish?

I've just said a similar thing elsewhere, if I shovel a pie in my face i feel crappy for a little while I log it on here, swallow the last bite while the app flashes me about bad fats and carbs... then I close the app, think about maybe going for a run for a while and move on. Don't do it often mind you, pies are real bad!

Logging at the start if the day is a win for me, makes me really think if that extra bag of crisps is worth the cal count when I know I've a tasty dinner coming up... Water, I start every meal with a glass to help my portion Control, and remembering to stop when I'm full, despite how delicious the food is! (I REALLY…

Shift work is hellish for healthy diet, you're working when your body wants to sleep and wind up craving carbs and sugar and all the things that make your abs into flabs to stay awake and alert. Don't punish yourself for this but try to pre empt it! Always have water on your desk, when you're in a dry air conditioned…

I've replied to something similar earlier. I too have a small kitchen and find myself doing a lot of one pot cooking, chilli, bolognese, stews, curries, hot pots, soups... I cook massive portions, then single it out into freezer bags and fling it I'm the freezer. I use these portions for work meals, that way I know what's…

I know your pain with call centre work, I work in a similar environment with a rotating shift pattern. Sitting at a desk makes nibbling easier and almost habitual between meals, and timed meal breaks makes bad microwave meals an easy option too. Stand at your desk a while each day rather than sitting, walk the long way to…

Motivation is my issue with fitness too, I used to run but injured my foot last September... Fixing my diet with a view to putting my runners back on next. You're right, reading how other people get on is great to boost your drive

This is an incredible loss! Well done!! You will always have days like this its bound to happen, only you see how hard you've really worked, and like Samanthachen said, people feel bad pointing out weight loss sometimes. Spin it and focus on the positives! You can feel the change in your clothes so you're not far off…

I've done some digging, my step counter on my phone is hopeless and like you I can't carry my phone at work.. In the end I settled on an XIAOMI MI Band 1S Pulse, just under £20 from Amazon. It has some fab reviews and comparisons among the reviews against other more pricey ones. It will link with Google Fit, and works with…

I work shifts, and got into some really bad habits with 'Ping' dinners, I wish I'd never bought a microwave! I do what some of the others have said and cook massively too much, then I portion it out in freezer bags and freeze. Its all home made goodies that i really enjoy cooking from scratch like chilli, soup, stew, curry…

All you can do is guess it, focus on the bulk like Ready2Rock said, limit these and play around at home with quantities so you know roughly how much grated cheese etc is in a scoop
