  • Today's NSV for me was that for the first time in a long, long time, my ankles and feet weren't swollen. I forgot that I had ankle bones! I'm sure they'll swell again periodically, at least until I'm a little lighter, but it was nice to have that glimpse of better times ahead.

  • On point for sticking with my diet plan, feeling ok. Doctor cleared me at today's checkup, I can start doing light exercise again too if I want to. Which I don't really, but that's another story ;)
  • Doing ok today, on track for reasonably healthy eating.
  • Signing in for first time in about 3 months; ended up needing emergency surgery, all my plans went out window. But today is the first day I finally, FINALLY feel well enough to at least start thinking through my next steps, and that's currently huge victory for me. So, er, woo! :) Hope all are well and wishing 'hang in…
  • My NSV is that despite crushing levels of stress the past few days (on top of constant stress for the past 2 weeks), I didn't go on a binge. I came that -> <- close, but managed to hang on by the skin of my teeth!

  • It's been a very meh few days. My stress level has been sky high, and Friday I was on the go from 6:30 am until 10:30 pm. I managed to stay within or very close to caloric budget each day, but my eating didn't feel good, if that makes any sense. I also had to rely on coffee to keep me going, and ended up not drinking…
  • Holy moly, I didn't think I'd ever read "Cheesecake Factory" and "stayed within budget" in the same sentence. Well done indeed!!!
  • @katdanash I hope your loved one is doing better. All my best to them and you. @animalrob37 Thank you for the heads up about the inaccuracies! What were some of the biggest culprits that you discovered, if I may ask? Despite the stress levels, I came in a good bit under calories yesterday (always happens when I do a zoodle…
  • Bwaahaahaa! My job here is done then :D (I've had that reaction a time or so myself, the worst was when it was right after a sip of Coke. Carbonation of the sinuses is not recommended.)
  • If he doesn't get up on the examination table and do a celebratory dance for you at that achievement, he's just a nincompoop. 17 is awesome, and 30-40 will be mega-awesome, great job!
  • I came in a hair under calories yesterday. Today is going to be tough simply because my stress level is at 9.9. I'm trying to step away and take deep breaths, but oh my goodness am I looking forward to the end of this month >:[
  • Happens to us all, I think - but now at least you know and can take action, so that's a big win too!
  • Honestly, I've met dietitians who I thought were very good at what they do, and others that were utter rubbish. The ones that worried me seemed to have no real appreciation for content of the food - they kept an eye on total daily sodium and calories, and that was it. *I* am more savvy about my food content - and yet you…
  • Happy Birthday!
  • Weekly mini-goal (hit 1.5 lb loss each week) - done! I've decided to add one more mini-goal: I'm going to keep track in stones as well as pounds, as I'm only 2 lbs away from losing my first stone. My husband is English, so we have scales that do both units. I think some of the appeal for me is because while I know what a…
  • Today's weekly weigh-in: 288.0. Lost 4 lbs since last week, and 12 overall. (Have to attribute at least some of this to the head cold and Cough of Doom, but still - woo hoo!) Well done everyone!
  • I think I must be incredibly lucky -- or have incredibly bad hearing -- because I can recall only one time encountering the rude comments as an adult. That happened while I was at university, aged 19 or so (and much, much smaller than my current size). Someone basically said that I couldn't be trusted around their lunches,…

  • Came in quite a bit under limit yesterday due to a new dinner dish being far fewer calories than I had anticipated. (This also led to my being awakened this morning by my stomach audibly growling... haven't had that happen in years!) Today should be fine, on track so far. Hoping everyone is starting to feel better from…
  • I did a mid-weigh in as well, and the number looked like I was on track. I've decided only to count the 'official' weigh-in day though, so here's hoping it stays that way for a couple of more days.
  • I think keeping close to maintenance is still a heck of good job, when feeling sick - makes keeping on track go from 'difficult' to 'you've got to be KIDDING me' level of challenge.
  • PS - I keep forgetting to ask. Is your photo a sugar glider in a box of biscuits? :)
  • So glad to see you online, I was wondering how you were as haven't seen as many posts from you lately. Fingers crossed that next week is better for you, sending you hopeful thoughts that things improve soon!
  • Sinus issues stink :( Hang in there, wishing you speedy recovery!!
  • Susan, and well done on 100 days!!
  • Ending up going over my daily calorie limit today because I miscalculated in my head. But, it was healthy calories (naked veggies galore), so I'm not going to stress over it since it was an anomaly to go over.
  • Wooooo hoo!! Congrats!
  • So far so good today, on plan and think I'll be ok.
  • Oh no! Being stuck at work stinks, doing so while under the weather is awful :( Hang in there best you can til you can have a lie down. Is there anyplace you can stow the comfort nibbles to get them out of easy reach, and maybe go have a cup of tea instead? Hope you feel better soon!
  • Day started off badly - slept through alarm and was running late, so couldn't eat breakfast. In the past I would have went through a drive-thru for something quick, but luckily today I wasn't hungry so there was no temptation at all to confront (thanks, head cold!). When I got home I ate a richer lunch than I've been…
  • Awesome Possum!!! I think that describes a healthy diet perfectly - you *can* still have the occasional treat as long as you 'budget' for it!
