Ha! You're subject line describes me to a tee. I was 37 and about 232lbs when I signed up for a sprint tri on a whim because a couple buddies of mine had been using the lake in my backyard for swim training. Bought a used roadbike (which was way too small) and finished it. I got sorta hooked from there. I hate exercising…

All of the above is great advice. Start with diet, slowly add exercise and the progress you make will motivate you to keep going. Just remember...if it's important you will find a way, if not you will find an excuse. Stay strong!

Sorry, nothing wrong with being an introvert. It's my sarcastic sense of humor. Guess I've learned to mimic an extrovert at work....then I go home and curl up into a ball. lol

Very pretty. The ink peek-a-boo adds quite a bit.

I've been doing a couple of sprint tri's for the last few years but the run always was my Achilles heel. Good friend of mine got me a book, Dr. Jordan Metzl's Running Strong, and it has made such a huge difference! The gains I've made have given me the confidence to tackle a couple of Olympic length races this year and, if…

I'm game, feel free to add me. What distance are you training for?

The reason to work out...Cheers!

He is such a prolific chewer that we have taken to jokingly calling him Puppy Sharky Baby. Have mercy!

@lincolngurl11 @debradugas9 Originally it was "Beau" but we've since had a change of heart and gone with Porter I know, I know.....porter doesn't start w a B. My daughters are not traditionalists. Lol

Bullet is really good! Brah is funny as hell. Total service animal name. Hahaha

I've had him at my office for the past couple days and started calling him monster! Honey badger would have been more appropriate but then I'd have to explain and YouTube would be brought up......right before HR got involved.

Well it was put to vote tonight and it's official. I would like to introduce Mr. Beau Brown. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I had the most fun naming this little guy.
-
I may be sorta changing the rules but after the first 24 hours I want to call hm "Chewbacca".......my God he is incessantly chewing on EVERYTHING!

Looking back at the difference in 3 weeks I think @mscuriosity might have it....Mr. Bigs

Coming on strong are.... Biscuit Bear Bojangles (suggested by coworker, not thread) Brody I had to eliminate blumpkin since I'm not willing to explain what it is to the girls, although it's funny as hell!
-
Maybe I should just call him "Bro" then add in endings as necessary. The possibilities are endless... Come here Bro. Whatcha got Bro? Bro, did you do that?! Brodacious!
-
That's awesome! Random yet perfectly logical

This is great. Got a running list, keep 'em coming. Leaders so far according to my daughters are Bubba, Bouy, Barkley, & Bronn (for the GOT fans out there, of course my daughters don't know who that is, they just like the name)
-
That's perfect! When he's bad I can say "Dats Turible"

Some people have a tendency to express their frustrations towards people they perceive as not having their problems. Doesn't make them bad people, just human. We all struggle so if you stay positive then you've done all you can. At least that's what I tell myself.

I agree with George, hydration has made the biggest difference in how I feel and also really helped with me with not wanting to snack all day. My other observation is that it won't take long of you making healthier choices and seeing little results at first that will make you crave more. Just promise yourself whatever you…

See, this thread explains why it took two seasons of Top Gear before I got Clarkson's jokes. Now people look at me funny when I use the terms "bonnet" and "boot" in reference to cars. And we haven't even gotten into cockney rhyming slang.....I think Icelandic is easier to learn.
