I'm 5'0 ,I started at 191 last March.Im down to 134 as of today.Still a little to go.Im also a lot older than you ,if I can do it anyone can.Its definately CICO.I walk only for exercise, usually 2 miles a day.My husband is a " power eater " too.My advice,weigh everything, log everything! I'm sure you can do it!

We go places a lot, my husband likes fast food. I use it all the time,high in sodium but I make low cal soups with it.I think they make a low sodium version but I cant find it.Definately better than regular bullion cubes.

I'm very cranky, spent the night sleeping on my MIL's couch.shes sick needed someone to stay. Whole apt smells like wierd old lady powder, it's 100 degrees in here. There are friggin lace dollies everywhere. I'm dying.....,need air but god forbid I would open a window.

Hey,my husbands whole family snickered about my food scale and food weighing. Well 50 pounds lost, no ones snickering now! Use that scale! As for your mom, my mom was very mean at times too. Develope a thick skin and don't let it hurt you. We are all here for you in this community! Carry on.

I watch TV series. Game of Thrones is the best,nothing like watching an arm or something get lopped off to distract one from treadmill boredom.

I also recommend drinking it black. You will need a good coffee. I home roast my own using a hot air popcorn popper- takes 10 minutes to roast fresh coffee for 10 days. It's sweeter and less bitter, makes Starbucks taste terrible.

Dont worry,I have lost 26 lbs in 90 days.Im very short and sedentary.Read the most helpful posts, get a scale and start! I was a nurse too and found being numbers oriented really helped. I bet you do fine! Many , many people are here to help.I was about your weight when I started too. .

I'm 5' even, yep, 2.7 mph is all I can do on the treadmill too.My hubby doesn't understand why I can't keep up with him.I would love to join the group.

You are probably overeating. I'm 5 tall,older,pretty sedentary. I eat 1200 cals per day, weigh and track everything. I have lost 2o lbs in about 70 days.use a scale, don't trust the package labels.I pretty much eat anything, just limit portions.

Fleet Feet is one,they have a stores in Columbus and few other cities.Most larger areas have specialized running stores.In in Virginia we have Virginia Runner. They sell all kinds of athletic shoes. Watch your salt intake too.evertime I go over the MFP sodium recommended I gain. I personally am very sensitive to too much sodium.

Keep trying foods you initially don't like, I have learned to love plain unsalted boiled Brussels sprouts.eating slowly,really tasting the food.Pitcher of water on the counter to drink all day.Alpine light hot apple cider at night cures my sugar craving.I weigh everything and log everything.It gets faster.Advoid eating…

Don't know how you feel about artificial sweeteners but that Alpine Light hot apple cider really helped me till I got over the evening sweet call. Believe 1 pack was like 15 calories, I had it at night for a few weeks.it is intensely sweet.Found it in the tea isle.Remember the cravings will diminish, it did for me.
