I will admit I loved the energy and loss of appetite that came with phentermine but as soon as I stopped taking it, I went back to my bad habits. I've taken them twice and lost a chunk of weight both times, only to regain the weight plus additional weight.

My friend "D" (Denial) tried to tell me I would be fine without the Hormones but the hot flashes were miserable! It's good to hear they are manageable for you! Aside from that nonsense and the healing process, a hysterectomy was the best thing I've done besides have children!
-
I had a hysterectomy last July; large incision - everything was taken. I was put on hormone replacement and gained weight FAST on top of being heavy to begin with. I joined MFP 17 days ago and have barely looked back. The key for me is to log every. single. bite that I put in my mouth. If I go over my calories, it's okay -…

Space travel and taking over the world, mostly! In all seriousness though, just being able to wear some cute clothes ..like the cute jeans with the sparkly stuff on the butt...I don't need much. B)

I log every day, my diary is open. The cat wants to knock over a shot of whiskey and the tortoise...well I don't know. :)

One thing that has really helped me with those pesky office goodies is Sugar Free Werther's Chocolate Caramel candies. I don't know why, but it's chocolaty enough and sweet enough to help me feel like I'm getting a treat and helps me keep my hands out of the work "cookie jar". They only cost me 40 calories in 5 pieces if I…

I'd gladly donate some of this gluteus maximus to you if I could..minus the hail damage.

I really don't care, its just that they are always the first to go..not the thunder thighs, not the hips, not the back fat or the belly..the mammories, for me, are always the first to abandon post.

Congrats on the weight loss so far, on making the commitment to do better for your health, for stopping the alcohol habit, and that stinky cigarette habit! With all of those successes under your belt, you've got this weight loss journey whipped! That is amazing! I've got a 100 pounds ...well, 101, to lose but this is the…

I love reading everyone's progress, hints, and insight so thank you for all of the responses! 110 pounds is about as realistic as it gets for me and even that is a stretch because according to the BMI crap, I would need to lose another 50-65 pounds. In all actuality, according to the BMI, I'm too short.

TY for the FR! I'm excited to see the success of others because it inspires me and gives me hope! Now, if someone could just hand me an easy button to get rid of this weight, that would be super! I guess if it were easy though, everyone would be doing it.

Girl, I swear - If I think about having to lose the whole 110 pounds, I almost want to just say Fagetaboutit and just go eat an apple fritter or three! Smaller goals divided up seems less discouraging.
-
Several small goals is about the only way I can look at this and not just throw in the towel and go eat an apple fritter right now! Kudos to you for beginning your journey!

The struggle is real!
