I don't know if it's a premium option, but I have a toggle to turn exercise calories on or off. To do this, I'd go under Goals and then Edit Fitness. There's an on/off toggle for Exercise Calories.

Hi Denise! The Cruise to Lose must have been so much fun! These last few months I've been doing my Richard Simmons DVD's. I had them on VHS in the 90's. I love that I still remember all the moves and they're still a lot of fun!

For sleeping issues, have you ever had a sleep study? If not, it might be something you wish to consider. I put this off for years, thinking I just snored due to a deviated septum. I finally did a sleep study and was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. I use a CPAP now and the difference in my quality of sleep is life…

My husband and I will often do nicer or more fun walks on the weekends, if that makes sense. Whereas during the week we'll usually just stick to a few set routes around the neighborhood like our 1, 2 or 3 mile loops. During the week, with work, there isn't always time for something more adventurous and it can get boring.…

Yes, I am also having this issue. After scanning, I see that there is now an option to add the item to multiple days of the week, which wasn't there before. I wonder if this update has a bug. I also tried to enter the barcode manually, which works to find the item, but it still won't add it.
-
My advice is to put in a ticket to support. That's what I'll be doing. I just had this happen to me on the app and I do have the premium subscription - mainly for the barcode scanner. It looks like there was an update to the app, as there is now an option to add to multiple days after scanning the food, which wasn't there…

I've added several of mine to the recipes section. You add each ingredient and at the end you would add how many portions the recipe would serve. The recipe will break down the calories and nutritional content per serving.

I am American but those types of jokes don’t bother me, either, because I didn’t grow up eating the types of foods you proselytize against, and I still don’t eat them so I can’t identify. But calories in vs. calories out is something I understand very well and have had struggles with too much and/or too little on both…

A lot of my serious eating took place in secret or when I was alone. When it's Friday night and you're in college and your evening recreation of choice is to go to the all you can eat seafood buffet at the Westin by yourself and you take a book along, because you know you're going to be there a while, you can't claim that…

That's a great goal!

Hi! I was diagnosed this year, too. I've been using MFP to track my eating to help keep it under control.

Welcome!

Hi Melissa! I have Type 2, also. Tracking here has helped me keep it under control.

I can’t blame any of my weight gains on flour, sugar, the food industry, or anyone other than myself. I was a child in the 70’s. My parents were young and money was tight. Restaurant meals, fast food, and “junk foods” like chips were rare. Both parents ran. My father was a long-distance runner who was, and still is, very…

Sounds amazing! I love coffee and cardamom.

I eat smoked salmon and hard boiled eggs several times a week for breakfast. I pair that with a huge plate of chopped up cucumbers, radishes, and tomatoes. That keeps me pretty satisfied all morning.

I don't drink so I wasn't aware that alcohol doesn't list the nutritional information. I don't know if adding this information would deter people from drinking or not. I actually think many people are aware that too much beer and/or other alcohol can cause weight gain but many don't care or don't want to admit it to…

Mine's a little different as I have Barrett's esophagus from a 10 year struggle with bulimia. Normally my GERD is controlled but if I do get a flare up, it's usually triggered by bad posture (like slouching) after eating, and/or, tight clothing, as both put pressure on my midsection. On my last vacation I made the mistake…

I think it would be easier for me to answer how I didn't like eggs. And even then I'm having a hard time thinking of a style of egg I didn't like. I love eggs!

There are several of us who are also seeing the same thing. I have this issue on the app but not the PC. On the app, this started right after the latest update. I submitted a support ticket for it, hopefully it will be fixed.

Hi @queenbea77. I use the calories given by MFP but then change the macro percentage to 30 carbs, 30 protein, 40 fat. MFP defaults it at 50% carbs.

Uninstall/Reinstall didn’t work. Also, a newly added exercise on the app still doesn’t show in history, even though I added it from the app. I can email support as this has only started since the last update.

You got this! I also have T2D and using MFP to track has helped me get my blood glucose and A1C back to normal levels. I wish you the best!
-
You can do it!

Welcome!

Hi Vickie! Welcome!

Hi Elena! I haven't taken those meds but I do have type 2 diabetes and use MFP to keep track of my carbs/calories. It's definitely helped me lose weight and lower my A1C to a normal level. I'm sorry to hear of your stomach issues. I hope that your recovery is quick. I wish you the best!

I use MFP to help manage my type 2 diabetes. Tracking my food with MFP has been successful and I now have normal A1C and blood glucose readings. I've also lost weight, which is a benefit for T2D. I focus on both macros and calories because I can easily eat more than I should. Anyone who would tell me I won't gain weight on…

I will need to try these! They look like the perfect size for tacos. I've been using Mission's Carb Balance tortillas and they are also good but I'm thrilled there are other options.
