Tell him you want him to look a certain way.

Anecdotally, for me, I've never had any adverse effects. Everyone's different but I've always preferred to eat my calories rather than drink them so I've been drinking beverages with artificial sweeteners for decades. Probably 40 years?

I love vegetables so I can see the attraction for this kind of snack. If you like baked carrot chips, you could make your own in an oven or air fryer for a lot less calories. The ingredients in this package are just carrots, vegetable oil, and chile seasonings. My guess is this has the "excess calories" stamp on it due to…

The mindset of having to undo damage and adding extra exercise to burn off anything I ate is what lead to my eating disorder. Restricting food and bulimia caused more physical damage than occasionally eating a little extra ever could. Please give yourself some slack and don't get into this mindset.

The US is huge and different states and regions have different climates and cultures. Where I live, tons of pumpkins and other squashes are grown and they are used for cooking and baking, as well as for decor. As soon as September hits, the floodgates open and you will see pumpkin products everywhere - made from actual…

I've always preferred to eat my calories rather than drink them so I've been drinking zero sugar drinks for decades, spanning my highest weights and my lowest. I've never noticed a change in my appetite based on artificial sweeteners and I can see now that they have no effect on my blood sugar. It's interesting how…

I don't eat enough ketchup to worry about it.

100% there was a low fat craze in the 90's. Low fat and fat-free everything was all the rage. I definitely ate my share of fat-free salad dressing and dairy products back then. I don't eat them now. I wouldn't blame anyone if they blocked out memories from this time. Fat-free cheese in the 90's was the stuff of nightmares.…

Sounds good to me! I had a giant plate of chopped up tomatoes, radishes, and cucumbers as part of breakfast. Technically that was probably three servings of vegetables right there but I just call it delicious!

Sounds like fun! I use the virtual hikes feature on the elliptical a lot of times. (I'd rather look at beautiful scenery than watch the time click down). I'll have to check these out.

I'm not sure you can change your e-mail address on the app but you can if you log on to the desktop version. Go to https://www.myfitnesspal.com and then from My Home go to Settings. Under Account Settings you will see Change Email Address/Email Preferences. You should be able to update it there.

For a few years I had been hanging out too much with my pals, Gluttony and Sloth, so I ditched them back in April and got reacquainted with my other friends, Portion Control and Physical Activity. With them I lost 44 pounds, brought my blood sugar and a1c back to normal, and got back into shape.

Americans aren't a hive mind and all Americans don't like the same things. Some Americans order sweetened drinks at coffee shops; others order plain coffee. Or tea. Or milk. I would imagine the ones who order sweetened drinks do so because they like the taste. I would order a black Americano, which is espresso and hot…

Two times but the same reason - health. First time - I was at my highest weight in the 260's at age 24. I had a bad reaction to medication which made my blood pressure increase to 180/110. One of my grandfathers died in his early 40's from a heart attack and that number scared me. I eventually lost 150 pounds. Second time…

See, to me, to "be in shape" means healthy and physically fit, not just skinny. The beginning of December is 10 weeks away. Losing 60 pounds in 10 weeks is not healthy, as to do so, you'd have to go very low calorie, or strenuously exercise hours a day, or some combination of the two. Rapid weight loss can cause a lot of…

I haven't yet but I should really take a look. All of those mentioned sound great!

I decided to plant watermelon in the garden this year. I harvested five large ones yesterday. They are amazingly sweet and juicy!

I've experienced it, also, when I've imported a recipe. So then I have to replace those ingredients. A lot of times I just manually enter them into the recipe instead of importing, since I'm going to have to replace a lot of ingredients anyway. I don't know why it does that.

I kind of bank calories naturally. I usually eat less calories on weekdays, as my breakfasts and lunches are fairly light, so this evens out if calories on the weekends are a little more. I don't like feeling full at work so this is just kind of how it works out.

Regarding flu shots, that was me for a lot of years. I felt sick after receiving it one time so for years afterwards I didn't get them. My so-called justification was "well, I've never had the flu." My husband had never had the flu either but he consistently got his every year. Then something like 8 years ago, we both got…

My husband and I loved it! We went to an Italian restaurant afterwards but he was tempted to go for cheeseburgers instead.

Welcome! 5 pounds in a month is great! That's a pound a week which is good, sustainable weight loss.

I’m not sure there really is any “cheating” when it comes to losing or maintaining weight. Cheating how? And who? I’m almost 50 and, in my life, with weight or with anything else, I’ve found there’s no such thing as a free lunch. You eventually pay for it some way or another. I’ve seen the debate for “cheating” both with…
