I think 1500 is supposed to be the minimum for a guy which is what I have been trying to do. But it's a good idea. Work stress has been pretty bad lately which doesn't help. I just don't feel like I am making much progress unless I am way below the limit.

Well, first comment is that it doesn't feel right to be at the limit. I have a hard time getting beyond 1500 unless there is beer involved. Then 3 or 4000 isn't out of the question. Which just leads to beer guilt and back to sub-1890 days. It's a vicious circle.

Loss goal is 85 but after I get there I would actually like to gain back about 20 in muscle. I used to be 282 when I was in University and was very strong. Wrestler, weight lifter etc. Not super fit mind you but here we were 20 years later and I was still 282, just a lot weaker. I'm down to 258 and will keep going. My hope…

Not to sound overly creepy but you look just fine. I am sure that time will help skin bounce back a little and although we all know you can't spot train, as you keep up with the C25K I am sure you will see more changes.

So then in theory, if you kept the same deficit as you lowered your weight and lowered calories proportionally (assuming you either don't reach, or will accept dropping below, a theoretical lower limit) your loss rate should remain the same? I believe the comment above about motivation probably had as much or more to do…
