I haven't done a Spartan yet (1st one on Saturday!) BUT I have done a Tough Mudder, a handful of Warrior Dashes, and something called a Mud Gauntlet. As long as you choose an open heat, people should be willing to help, especially if you plan on running with your friends. Also - Spartan has 3 lengths - you should probably…

I save mine for special occasions, so like 1 or 2 a month. Otherwise I fit my treats into my daily allowance.
-
I've had mine for 2.5 months now. I love it more than any other fitness device I've ever had.
-
I second this. KT Tape is amazing. And they have videos for pretty much any sort of issue on their website/YouTube page.
-
I'm usually between 1500-2000. Depends on how much or little I exercise.
-
1. Don't dive head first into a gallon of ice cream in self-pity/celebration (I got dumped last night). 2. Treat myself to a fun workout at my local boulder tonight.

Hanger is real. If you've significantly reduced your calorie intake, you are probably hangry. Maybe you should try decreasing your defecit.
-
On a normal day, if I want something, I fit it into my allowance. I save my non-logging cheat days for special occasions only.

There is a strength training option under the cardio exercises, which will factor calorie burn into your day.

All solid advice. The only thing I can really think to add is grip strength. If you've got a rock gym local, that's a fun way to help with that (that's what I've been doing), but there are other ways to work on it as well. Have fun with it! And don't be afraid to ask for help. Most people who are there as a personal…

I also vote for the Band 2. I love mine. The charging thing is really the only problem - but I put my charger in my car and just charge it while I drive. But it has GPS on it, which is great for my runs, and the main reason I got it. Also, it tracks my sleep, steps, and I can send a quick text response on it, so it's worth…

I haven't done a Spartan yet (I have my first one on June 11th - also a sprint). I know that burpees are a big thing. I also know from doing other OCR's that upper body strength is important. Also, grip strength. And obviously running.
-
This helped me for mine too...the Jersey course was flat. I'm doing Mt Snow next month though, that one may be a bit of a challenge.

I signed up for TM last November with approx. 6 weeks to train. The only runs I ever did were 5K. I was fine for the running part. I know everyone is telling you to run more, and it will help, but the obstacles break up a lot of the running. Doing mine, I realized my upper body strength is crap. Funky Monkey was a swimming…

I'm considering a half as well, like in November. My mileage is poor during the week but I'm looking to fix that and I race every weekend. I just did my first 10K yesterday. Feel free to add me.

If it has no calories/macro value, I don't log it. Anything else, I log.
-
I reserve my cheat meals/days for special occasions. I.e. if I'm going to somebody's wedding or a fancy work event or something, I'm not going to waste time trying to log my meals. I'm just going to eat and enjoy it. Sometimes that occasion is froyo with one of my best girlfriends I only get to see once every month or two.…

12 min/mi is a great start. It's about where I started this time last year. Now I'm running about 8.5 min/mi, and it's just happened naturally as I got better at it. If you stick with it, you will get there.

Is this an iPhone thing? Or is this just a joke that everyone is pretending to be in on? I just tried this and it just switches it to landscape mode. I WANNA BE IN ON THIS. ETA: I figured it out. I guess I should update first :D

There's nothing wrong with PF. I have a membership to one and I go there to lift on occasion. I got the black card so that if I go out of town I can still work out, because my other gym only has locations near my home area. It's also open later than my regular gym, which is especially nice on holidays.

It's the best bug! I went ahead and added the Boston Super and Carolina Beast to my list. Because why not?
-
I would suggest switching your treadmill runs to outdoor runs because it's just not the same. Other than that you should be totally fine.
-
I switched to them after Quest had changed their formula. I love them. Quest has since changed their formula again, but it's too late. I'm sticking with the Musclepharm. The only one I'm not a big fan of is the white chocolate raspberry one.

I find them to be easier. I hate running alone by myself and never have the motivation to do it during the week. On the weekends I show up and I have friends who run them with me sometimes. Even if I dont, the fact that there are other people running the same course helps. For me, it's a motivation thing. Also, the fact…

Oh yeah. He's crazy impressive. He came in like 17th overall for it. I'm convinced he's actually insane.
-
I'm going to start training for 2017 :D

I've found that the maple syrup is the only one really worth having. Don't think you can douse your pancakes in it and have it taste like the real stuff, but in small amounts it *almost* tastes like what it's supposed to.
-
What's up Jake & puppy! I'll add you. :)
-
No bounce, and no problems with losing stuff. It's tight enough that everything within it stays put. ETA: I'm pretty sure they have ones with zippers now, too.
-
I have one of those FlipBelts. Actually I have 3 different colored ones because I love them.
