  • I have to eat or my blood sugar goes haywire . . . I try to make sure I've got some protein, but nothing heavy. Usually a scrambled egg with mushrooms and a side of greek yogurt or fruit.
  • I've struggled with PF for years-not sure if that will be your diagnosis, but I can tell what's helped me a bit over the years. I ended up with PF when I worked at a hospital and had to walk all day in flat dress shoes. At the time, physical therapy was easily prescribed (not so much anymore) and I had great success after…
  • These are great (and my hubby who is a pb and chocolate maniac loves them) . . . I did eliminate the coconut and they were just as good :). S0.25 cup, Oil - Vegetable, coconut • 3 Tbsp, Flaxseed, Ground Organic • 1 tsp, Leavening agents, baking powder, low-sodium • 1 cup(s), Old Fashioned Oats • 0.25 tsp, Salt • 0.75…
  • This is great, especially for the summer! Homemade blueberry frozen yogurt • 2 cup(s), Blueberries - Raw • 0.33 cup(s), Greek Nonfat Yogurt • 1.50 tsp(s), Lemon juice - Raw • 2 tbsp(s), 100% Pure Organic Maple Syrup Throw it all in a blender and you are good to go! Perfect timing too since it's blueberry season :).
  • I wanted to jump back in and post something I came across that really helped me-in fact, when I'm nervous about training, I will pull this up as a reminder to myself ...
  • I completely understand! I felt (and still feel) the same way and opted to go with a personal trainer. It's still WAY out of my comfort zone, but it's really helpful to have someone with me not only showing me proper form, but setting up the equipment for my height, etc. so I will know how to work on the machines, etc.…
  • Me! :)
  • Thanks for posting this! :) Remember too, to check your gates and give your pup a safe place to hide when the fireworks are booming!
  • On workout days I like an egg on multi-grain toast with a small side of fruit. On just work days, I like homemade granola bars (Hello Healthy Banana Bread Granola Bar) with a small side of fruit.
  • Thank you for sharing your inspiring story! What an amazing way to look at your journey-channeling the best parts of yourself. I will take that with me as I still continue on working to become more fit now that I'm over 40. I've never been an athlete or a gym rat, but I know I can dig deep into the parts of me that have…
  • I agree with everything I've read-all said and done, it's annoying, but totally doable! I, too, freaked out when I had mine, but it turned out to be not a huge deal at all. Best advice-keep a variety of approved fluids in your fridge so you feel like you've got some choices, load up on chicken broth and jello (not red or…
  • Way to go! You look fantastic! And it's especially inspiring to read that you were able to get motivated and on track again after a loss. After losing my mom, I've gained weight and lost motivation. So thank you for giving me hope!
  • I'll link to one of my very favorite veggie recipes-it's a great side as it's veggie heavy, but also with sweet potatoes which seems to round out a meal nicely :). http://www.food.com/recipe/oven-roasted-vegetables-334483
  • I also save calories for a glass of wine-It's my big treat each day. I'm still losing, though I've read it slows down your metabolism. I do make sure to measure it out and try to keep it to 5 fl oz or less (which is not the full pour I prefer  )
