  • I knew that I was really unhappy with the way I looked and felt. Once I started noticing a difference, I knew that I was on the right track and wanted to get to my goal no matter how long it took. Plus I had a lot of support from friends and family. With the plateaus, I tried to switch things up as far as working out and…
  • Today marks 2 years of my journey to a healthier me. It’s had its ups and downs (and plateaus...I hate plateaus!!!) but I feel so much better about myself. The photo on the left is 3/7/16 at 233lbs and the photo on the right is 3/7/18 at 162.5lbs.
  • Mine is that despite having sleep issues and basically eating everything in sight this week, I've worked out everyday and have stayed under my calories!!
  • I just picked up my t-shirt for tomorrow's 5k (my first!!) and I had asked for a large cause that's what I'm fitting in right now. When I went to get my race packet, the women looked at me and said "are you sure you want a large?" I thought she was going to say it would be too small...but she said "I think a medium would…
  • Started at 230 on March 7th, hit onderland 1 week ago at 199. So almost 7 months to see a weight I haven't seen in about 20 yrs.
  • Went away for the weekend to visit some family. Found out that I can wrap a hotel towel around my body and it actually covers everything!!
  • Every Saturday morning, right before I get in the shower. The only time I'll switch it up is if I'm going away then I'll usually weigh in the morning before I leave.
  • Definitely!! I used to drink soda and juices a lot and I started to notice that they weren't tasting as good as they used to. So now all I drink is water or flavored seltzer. And my tastes towards vegetables has changed as well. I was always opposed to cook vegetables, only liked to eat them raw. Then I discovered steamed…
  • Pic on the left is from January 2016 at 230. Pic on right is current at 200. 30lbs lost and still a work in progress.
  • Went to Under Armour for some more workout clothes, didn't think I'd find anything that fit me. Not only did stuff fit but I was able to buy shirts in a Large. I haven't been a large in at least 10 years.
  • I'm going on a family vacation to Virginia Beach next week and for the first time ever, put workout clothes on my packing list. It's not going to be the main priority but now I can't imagine an entire week without working out at least once.
  • I just found a pair of shorts in the back my drawer that I don't even remember buying and they fit...comfortably! I normally hate the way shorts look on me but I might actually wear these in public.
  • I bought a size 16 dress about a month ago for my nephew's baptism next week. Decided to put it on today since I've lost a few lbs and noticed it was feeling a little loose. I went back to the store to try on a 14 and it fit perfectly!! Haven't been a size 14 in a dress in like 20 years.
  • It was a friend's birthday over the weekend and I didn't eat the homemade cupcakes that smelled absolutely delicious. Not because I talked myself out of it or because it wouldn't have fit into my calories for the day but because I wanted a bowl of fruit instead. A few months ago, I would have eaten 2.
  • I started at 230 in March and currently down to 222. I started noticing a difference in my legs first, It's going to sound weird but I've really toned up in my knees and I can't stop feeling them...lol. I also have to pull up my jeans a lot (I don't wear belts...might have to rethink that). I've had family members and…
  • Thanks everyone! I'm going to start adjusting my eating habits and see if that helps.
