I gained 25lbs eating what I considered to be "clean", I've lost 9lbs so far by counting calories and eating "dirty".

You weren't rude, you were being sarcastic. My daughter got in trouble at school for being sarcastic a few weeks ago with one of her friends, she told her parents and the parents told the teacher that my daughter wasn't a "good friend" :o
