  • If you really want next to no carbs, ditch the beans. I've been working with Type 2 diabetes for 7 months now. Peas, beans, potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, cake, cookies, pie, honey, jam, all the former comfort foods are on my "do not eat" list! Half a cup of mashed potatoes or rice or pasta is 15 grams of carb. Not worth it…
