I bought some slacks last year that were too small, but they were on clearance, and I thought- Why not? I might loose some weight... Well- tried them on today and they fit! Not only did they fit, but they are loose in the thigh! So excited!

For me, right now, it sounds cheesy but feeling better is my reward. But- when I reach my first mini goal I'm going to go through my closet and purge what is too big. I'm super excited about it. :)

T2D. I'm just done with accepting all the crap that comes with it, glucose and mood swings, fatigue, IBS due to Metformin (better now), the guilt of not being healthy, I could go on and on... I'm done with it being the excuse for my many issues- while mostly legitimate- it gave me a free pass to not do anything about it.

Thanks! I will keep you all posted. It will hold me accountable and remind me why I'm doing this when I need it. Birthday is next week- it will be the first time I ask NOT to have a cake. Lol. I love carrot cake. I'm a steak girl all the way though- so looking forward to that. And maybe some stuffed jalapeños. ;)

Corrective for my abs but it's not covered by my insurance. Elective for the skin.

Thank you. What is NSV?

You could make it yourself. Use a beef roast and cut it thin. You can use a dehydrator, your oven or just line dry the strips (works here in Colorado- hardly any humidity though). I have been told you get thinner cuts if you freeze it first. Season how you like. My mom used to use fajita mix. My personal favorite was when…

My last labs were about 5 weeks ago. My Dr said to stop taking iron supplements because I was too high. I never have taken them and hate multivitamins.

Food: I have been weighing my food, but not all. For example, I don't weigh eggs or pre packaged items. We do a lot of one pot meals and I need to work on that for sure, but I've cut my portions and we keep track of what all goes into the pot, I just don't know my exact portion/pot. I'm LCHF primarily due to T2D, so very…

Thanks. I will definitely try these. I recently bought a food scale so that should keep my portions on target.

I'm low carb due to diabetes. Their are several opinions as to the "correct" number of grams per meal and snack. I personally find that when I go over 50/day I have night sweats among other unpleasant side effects. For me breakfast is high protein slim fast with 9g carbs, lunch under or near 15, dinner gets me sometimes…

I set a mini goal and once I get there I am going to go through all of my clothes and donate what does not fit me. I have smaller sizes (pre baby and diabetes) in storage. It will be a huge reward to be able to get them out. For me it's every 10-15 pounds- milestones of my weight gain. Like pre-pregnancy weight, wedding…

Mirabelle- I like the idea of pre-portioning ingredients. I think that could work for me. It sound like a scale is next of my list of healthy living needs. We do a lot of frozen "steamer" vegetables- not sauced with a meat. I'll be honest- I love steak or just about anything grilled. I can't really do many of the weight…
