I would not bother worrying about going over on the occasional day. If you find this is happening regularly i.e. several times a week, I would seriously consider increasing my fat intake first and then protein to get me through to the next meal and not having extra carbs. Any exercise/movement is good for making one feel…

I only track carbs to 20gs and ignore protein and fat. I do not think one can do keto and calorie count and percentages at the same time properly, as they are coming from different starting points. Protein looks after itself in terms of hunger and have found I eat slightly less than I did because my fat intake rose and…

I eat shallots and leeks instead of onions as they are slightly lower in carbs. I do not consume carrots, peas, corn, potatoes, beans (except green bean and runner beans). Tomatoes I eat with care, any surplus I make into soup and sauce and freeze and use during the year. I will make one pumpkin into soup an store in the…

There is a need for willpower at the beginning to any changes we make to our lives e.g. relationships, jobs, where we live, were we shop, what we buy, meals we prepare. It is so easy to slip back to what we know and where we are comfortable, even if long term we know it is not right. Once the change is embedded and we are…

If I was hungry at 3.30pm, based on the timings you have given, I would have a large salad at 11.45 and add 1 or 2 hard boiled eggs to that meal, to try and get me through to 5pm. Or have the eggs at 3.30pm with a little mayo or hot boiled eggs mashed with a little butter. Rather than (anything going). I would plan that…

I could not manage by cutting my carbs (I do 20 carbs a day) and reduce fat and I am not doing such an energetic job as you, plus you have to get to and from work and have a life as well. I think you would become hungry and struggle to keep on track. I have lost a lot of weight by reduced carbs, moderate protein at each…

LCHF is not no carbs at all. That is one dangerous person to be giving advice they do not understand.

A small amount of carbs from low carb veg and salad leaves are necessary for vitamins and minerals, even if you stick to 12-15g (450g in total low carb veg weight) + as someone has said the importance of fibre contained in the veg. Do not forget too much protein is bad for the kidneys, hence Atkins and other such eating…

If you are eating more protein than carbs, how much more protein. An excess of protein will lay down body fat. Protein should be a moderate portion at each meal around 4oz. If you are hungry increase you fat consumption eg oil, butter cream.
