  • My suggestions are : meal prep, exercise even when you don't want to, cut out 1 sweet treat a day until you don't have any more to give up, relax, compliment yourself, acknowledge your achievements, weigh weekly or monthly, take measurements, enjoy the journey. As for the guy issue, don't stress. Work on you for a while.…
  • What an incredible journey. The joy you must have and what a testimony to share with people. Congratulations on your success!
  • Do you eat Chinese every day? If not ,don't sweat it. Relax a bit. It's 1 step at a time. 1 goal at a time. 1 day at a time. Cry if you must, but get back up wipe the tears off and make tomorrow a better a day. We all have bad days, but we get back up and wipe off and hit it hard the next day. The only way you are a…
  • I don't have kids living at home. I have lost 54 lbs with 13 to go. I check in daily. Add me if you would like.
  • Go for a romantic walk. Invite a friend over for tea. Read a good book with your feet soaking in some Epsom salts. Have a board game night with friends or family.
  • It could be due to water healing your muscles due to the strength training. That being said, I would go to a Dr for a check up. Maybe there is something that just isn't quite right. It wouldn't hurt any. Tell the Dr what you do and what you eat and how long you've been stuck. You may find an answer. You may not.
  • I agree. Anything you do is better than sitting on the couch eating your life away. The smallest steps have lead to great successes
  • Congratulations! You're moving in the right direction. Awesome.
  • Congratulations on the weight loss. Congratulations for gain strength. Congratulations for doing push ups. No stopping you now. What a great success. Love reading this stuff.
  • You could do this. You want something sweet... Go buy just 1 donut. Or just 1 cupcake. May cost a bit more but you won't have the extras in the house. My favorite go to is fruit with 2 Tbs cool whip. Cool whip only has 25 calories for the 2 Tbs. just about everyone can find 25 calories extra. Strawberries have hardly any…
  • Thank you for all the support. Savedbygrace, you will be able to do all those things. It may take a little longer or a lot longer than others, but you will achieve it. Start with small goals. I always set a monthly goal. A goal for weight ( be realistic. If you know you average 1/4 lb a week use that), a personal goal not…
  • Unless you have health related issues, it's calories in calories out. My question to the op is: when they cut out the sugar did they become more active? Sometime we relate exercise to sugar. Say this scenerio. I'm gonna cut out sugar usually sends the message to your brain that exercise would be good too. So, if their…
  • Thank you for all the support. It true that hypothyroid causes us to work harder than others. With determination, will power, proper diet, exercise, support, the right med dose it is so doable. Add some prayer and it's even better.( my opinion) . You've just got to go for it. Put all the excuses behind you. Slow months…
  • Oh yeah, I know where you are coming from. Some people called me fat. Now those same people say I'm too thin. Then we have the ones that can't say hi but can say wow you lost weight and walk off. Then you have the ones who laugh and mock. It hurts from time to time. But you can't let it get you down. Here's my motto if you…
  • Welcome. Congrats for making a first step. Here's my insight : We all have days when we don't eat like we are suppose to. Don't fret it, learn from it and make tomorrow a better day. We all have days when we don't get exercise in like we want. Don't beat yourself up. Just pick yourself up. Tomorrow is a new day. Doubts and…
  • Congratulations! One goal down. Write this goal with date , who said it, and how it made you feel in a journal. Then each time you achieve a goal write it down. What a testimony you can share.
  • Unless you have a medical condition, no effect. If you have a metabolism issue then refined carbs are not your friend.
  • If you want it bad enough, nothing will stop you from getting it. You will do what it takes.
  • Unless you are a diabetic( and have to watch out for excess sugars . In. That case eat the lower sugared fruits and veggies)of course you can get carbs from veggies and fruits. I don't do refined carbs per say. I will on the rare occasion of being at someone else's house or that once a year anniversary dinner. My fasting…
  • I fully understand. I don't do "junk" either. I would rather eat an extra plate of veggies than to eat wasted calories. I know it's CICO, but I prefer healthy foods. When I started my weight loss journey I put old habits behind not so I can carry them with me. That being said, if there is a gathering with family I will…
  • When I want a sweet ( which is rarely) , I will buy just 1 of the item. Likes chocolate chip muffin. I can make them and get more but I don't like them after they had been frozen. So I go to a place that sells them that I like and buy just 1. That way I get it and enjoy it without extras in the house. My hubby don't like…
  • Adding more exercise than you were could be causing water weight. Wouldn't stress over it unless you are constantly going up week after week for a few. If that is the case, tighten your food logging and food weighing. And talk to your dr. Print out your food logs and exercise to take with you. Must be patient. 2 weeks is…
  • I don't know about foods, but the crock pot comes in mighty handy. Throw some ingredients in it in the morning. By supper time it's ready. One crock pot and 2 plates or bowls , some silverware and dishes are done. It's fabulous.
  • At first you lose a lot of water weight. So keep that in mind if your progress starts to slow. Just log food and exercise ( for health not weight loss) when you can. You will achieve your goals.
  • I couldn't live on meat and oil. I have to have my fruits and veggies. I do, do well without the whoopie pies, soda, cakes, cream puffs, etc :)
  • Do you need to get checked by a dr?
  • There are only a select few that know my journey. People see the loss, but they don't know why I lost weigh, how I'm losing, or the mental and emotional feelings that go with it. Frankly most people I know could careless. My biggest issues are with people who never spoke to me now say " you look good" um I didn't before?…
  • Jealousy at its finest. Congratulations on your loss and for reaching your goal weight. You do not look sick to me. Sick people don't have a beautiful smile like yours. I see gorgeous eyes. If they want to envy , let them. You ARE a success!
  • I understand your feelings. This is what I would do. I would continue going to the gym. I would continue to eat healthy. I would continue to shop in those stores. If it happens again report it right then and there. See as you continue to workout, your progress WILL show. It will! Then one day when you go the same store you…
  • The heat has to be my problem. Still getting my exercise in but struggling. Some days I can do my full hour other days I split it up which I don't like. Oh well life moves on and I'm grateful I can get it done in one way or another
