  • You can say something like "My doctor says I'm doing great - but thanks for your concern!" There will always be people who 1. Genuinely cannot be happy for you, or 2. Think they're saying the right thing but don't. Ignore the first group, and have forgiveness for the second.
  • "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good." It's from Voltaire, but I saw it in Gretchen Rubin's book "The Happiness Project." She says that the 2 miles you DO walk is better than the 5 miles you DON'T run. I use this to keep things in perspective and not beat myself up if I slip up in my fitness/nutrition routine.
  • I'm 5'9.5". I have a pretty curvy body (I wear a 36DD). Before weight: 208 lbs (Sept 2012) After weight: 172 lbs (June 2013) This picture was taken 3 years ago. I'm currently at 187 (stopped using MFP and lost some motivation). But this thread is giving me such great inspiration to get back into shape! My new goal weight…
