You can do it! I just reached that goal myself. Took almost 3 years. Just stay consistent and work through your plateaus.

You can't outrun your fork.

Get a food scale. Your eyes lie and your estimates are wrong.

I have endo and lost 30lbs by eating 1200-1300 calories a day. It is very possible.

If loosing weight was easy obesity wouldn't be so rampant. Loosing weight takes effort and restrictions.
-
I used flavored seltzer water to quit soda. Some days are going to be better than others. Weighing your portions with a food scale to ensure accurate logging is VERY important. Always be honest with yourself with your logging and never feel guilty over food.
-
You are not logging correctly and eating more than you think.
-
Your genes don't absorb calories from thin air. The quicker you drop the fat logic and take personal responsibility, the easier it will be to reach your goals.

If my husband doesn't want to eat what I cook then he is on his own. I don't make special food for him. He eventually got on board and lost 40lbs.

Chicken and tilapia is super cheap where I live. If you have an Aldi near by, get your fresh vegetables and fruit there. The anti GMO thing is marketing scare tactics. I have yet to encounter an actual scientist that eats only organic.

Something positive to think about, this "long" period of time is also giving you time to adjust to your new lifestyle. When you hit your goals you still will not be able to go back to old habits but why would you want to? Take advantage of this time to come up with an exit strategy from your cut. Going into maintenance is…

@Gibby349 I hit my target Friday. I am slowly working my way into maintenance. I went about 5 pounds lower than my ideal to give myself a buffer. This week I am eating 1300 per day, next week gets moved to 1400 and so on until I reach maintenance at 1650. I plan to start dead lifting in October to get buff up so I can…

Your lawn will be much greener if you focus on it rather than your neighbor's. I find the body positive movement to be full of toxic people that have given up and want others to fail too. Crabs in a bucket.

You can't control where your weight is stored. My ribs show a little when I stretch too. I just think society is so used to seeing overweight/obese bodies that we have no clue what a healthy bodies actually look like.
-
Weigh your food, you are over eating
-
I also think it matters whether you are trying to get back to the size you were just a few years ago VS have always been large and are trying to loose the weight. I gained 40lbs over a 3 year period after getting an office job. It took 2.5 years to take it off and change my lifestyle but I lost the majority of it (30lbs)…

If you are not using a food scale you are most likely not logging correctly
-
I lost 30lbs eating between 1200-1290 calories a day while working out 3-5X a week.

Recalibrate your calorie goals. You should e eating less calories now that you are smaller.
-
Make sure you are using a food scale for logging accuracy.
-
You may be confusing dehydration signals with hunger signals. Try drinking a minimum of 3L water a day.
-
That's water weight. Just keep going and be patient
-
You are obviously not using a food scale to log your food accurately. You can overeat healthy food.
-
The best plan is the one you will actually do. F motivation, consistency and dedication to a real action plan is where it is at.
-
Google the list of foods you can't have. My husband has an ulcer, things like peanut butter, chocolate, milk & tomato sauce upset him the most especially if he eats it later than 7pm.
-
Smaller bodies require less calories. To stay at a deficit you must lower your calories as you loose.
-
Recalibrate your goals, you are smaller now so need less calories. Go to goals, select "maintenance" save. Then back to the lose weight setting. I am at those last 5lbs myself after losing 25lbs. I decided to cut alcohol out to push myself to the goal.
-
Focus on making permanent lifestyle changes rather than numbers on a scale.
-
Get a food scale and use it if you are not doing so already, portion control takes time to learn and we are used to seeing oversized portions. Log everything that goes into your mouth. Fruit and vegetables have calories in them, so does coffee creamer and juice. No more cheat days. Plan ahead your week. If there is…
