  • Odds are, you were eating more than 1400 / day. Usually this happens with portions that are "eyeballed" rather than measured. it's not hard to have 600 cal you didn't intend over the course of an unmeasured day.
  • Your best solution would be put put miles on an actual bike fitted for you at a good bike shop. Having a good bike fitment is the difference between joy and misery on any bike and I doubt you'll find a really good fit on anything at the gym.
