  • Hi there, I've been mostly vegan for going on six years. It's all about finding the dishes that you like and what works for you. I don't cook either. I do like raw veg though. You can also prepare things ahead of time and eat them throughout the week. I don't know where you are living but we have some great farmer's…
  • I feel ya. I lost over sixty pounds and realizing that I did all that to end up with excess skin in some areas was rough. It was like having the finish line moved on me only when I was finally in sight of it. There were times I felt it was almost worse than being obese in some ways. I don't even have it that bad. It's only…
  • My goto is a big kale salad with beans and sprouts and seeds and various veggies with lemon and olive oil on top. Protein, iron (with vitamin c to aid in absorption) and it is filling. Vegan breakfast burritos. Tofu spring rolls. I find that adding some protein to a mix of fresh raw veg is a great way to get fiber, feel…
  • I don't know if this is at all helpful but if you take frozen pineapple and berries and blend it you get a nice ice cream-like treat with less fat and calories. Also you get fiber for the win.
  • Mine isn't a particular type of food but a tendency to spend too much time zoning out in front of netflix. When I do that it is inevitable that I'll end up over-eating. Even if I do well all day by midnight if I'm still sitting there binge watching game of thrones suddenly popcorn seems like a really really good idea. So…
  • My short term goal is to go to the new exercise studio that I joined a couple months ago at least 4-6 days a week for the next three months. I was able to do it last month and I'd like to keep that momentum going for summer. Long term I'd like to maintain a more active lifestyle than I have in recent years.
  • My name is Kaela. I am 5'2 and weight 146. Waist 34.5 hips 39.5. I'd love to get down to 130 including added muscle toning. About five years ago I was over 200 pounds and I lost about 60 but this last 20 is a real struggle and I go up and down a lot.
  • I have made it to my gym between 4-5 days a week for the last month. I have gone back to making my own kale salad and bringing it to work instead of going out every day.
  • Hang in there. This is why "dieting" is counter-productive. Don't think of it as a diet. Just pay attention to what you are doing and bring that mindfulness into your every day relationship with food. You need to indulge sometimes.
  • If you haven't done weight training I hear that boosts metabolism. So maybe that's the next step. I'm gonna try it.
  • I lost over sixty pounds about five years ago. Mostly I kept it off. I did gain back about ten pounds and I fluctuate a lot in that range. Water weight? Anyway, I found that it got harder to lose that last ten pounds and then harder to keep from gaining that ten back. So I'm hoping to lose fifteen to twenty. I didn't feel…
