  • What definitely helps make rawtill4 less costly, is buying frozen fruits, if you can! (For nice cream or smoothies) also, the fruit that is locally grown and currently in season is usually the cheapest.

  • I do HCLF 80/10/10, and rawtill4 when I can afford to! One thing I battle to give up is oatmeal. Nothing beats a hot bowl of oats in winter!

  • Since you're vegan, plants are your source of nutrients.. be it protein, carbs or fat. Fruits and vegetables are naturally higher in carbs than eggs, meat or other animal products. It would be rather unsustainable if you were to stick with the low carb high protein diet, and you would also battle to reach other nutrient…
  • Rice cakes, potatoes, dates, apples and bananas are mostly carbs but also have plenty other nutrients.
  • Beans, legumes and leafy greens!
  • 80% minimum!!! (200g+/day)
  • Banana ice cream. Freeze a couple of bananas overnight, when they're done let them thaw for a few mins and then blend them up in a food processor until they're smooth and creamy. You can add other frozen fruit or berries for flavour, or simply add cinnamon and vanilla. Virtually no fat at all :)
  • Bananas and potatoes are great potassium sources!
  • Smoothies in mason jars, rice with a saucy bean mix. diced sweet potato and other diced veggies of choice with quinoa/couscous. Spaghetti with mushroom Bolognaise.. the list goes on! Take a look at Caitlyn Shoemaker on youtube, she has tons of healthy and delicious recipes!:)
  • My food related triggers are dairy and gluten. Also if I use any soaps, cleaning products or even chop certain fruit/vegetables, I get eczema. Cutting out the dairy and gluten cleared it, until I realized that chemical products also provoked it and since then I use gloves whenever I need to use them. Try using pure…
  • Not only is frozen fruit okay, it makes being raw WAY more affordable! Also, if you live in an area that is not so tropical, frozen fruit is much more convenient. If it is what you have available, then there is no reason not to have it!
  • Definitely not recommended.. I know a lady who did this for a while and she ended up in ICU for weeks! If your goal is to control portion sizes then best work on that in the most manageable approach for you. You can't live of meal replacements for the rest of your life, self control is definitely more applicable!:)
  • I average about 100 calories under my weekly goal, but I do sometimes snack on a few dates if I need some energy so I do pretty much reach my caloric needs. Thanks for the advice, it is very helpful!
  • Truthfully, it's a really difficult habit to break and I find it helps to control binges or going over calorie goals. I just battle to justify eating on a rest day, it almost makes me feel guilty in a way. I also just like to give my digestive system a break, it feels great to not constantly be full or needing to eat
  • Bloating when coming to a vegan diet is 100% normal! Even digestion discomfort for the first few weeks! I had the exact same experience, including gas (tmi) when I transitioned and it stopped after a week or two. Your body will do a lot of internal changing, because the foods you are eating are so much lower in…
  • Chia seeds! It's very difficult to have a variety of protein sources if you're trying to stay low carb as a vegan. Most high protein rich foods are beans, legumes, whole starch vegetables, pease, lentils, and even grains (oats, brown rice, quinoa)- all high carb. I would definitely recommend upping your carbs, if these…
  • Jillian Michael's has tons of HIIT workouts on youtube that truly take your fitness to the next level :)
  • Beans and legumes, oats, brown rice, potatoes, frozen fruits (unless you need fresh), and whole grain pastas are a lifesaver when it comes to eating on a budget and are also just so healthy and nutritious! Plus they are mostly dry ingredients that store well, so you don't need to eat them quickly! Hope this helps :)
  • EAT THEM AAAAALL!!! As a vegan who eats 80% fruit, (and mostly the high sugar content ones) I can promise you beyond the shadow of a doubt that fructose will not make you gain wait. When a natural sugar is consumed, our bodies convert it to glucose which is basically our main source of energy! I think the reason we are…
  • A few fresh dates for breakfast and yummy banana ice cream for lunch! No better kick for the day than lots of natural sugars and cabs!!
  • Amen! Also, I developed gluten intolerance from it, and because I was never sensitive to it before, it took me months to realize the culprit (it was hell) Looking back, I don't know how I survived that long on such a low carb diet, I would probably wilt up and die if I had to do it again. CARBS ARE LIFE!! I highly…
  • If pasta is your source of carbs, and you eat them in excess then I seriously doubt you would lose weight. Try eating better sources of carbs such as bananas, dates, potatoes, butternut and other root vegetables. Rice isn't bad for you but vegetable carbs are far more nutritious and still provide you with wholesome carbs.…
  • Ground flaxseed is a wonderful omega 3 and super easy to include in literally any food. Especially smoothies and savory sauces. It's super cheap, being a dry staple it stores well too!
  • Banana ice cream!!!
  • I'm a vegan and some days I only eat fruit. If you're hitting your macro goals and getting all the right nutrients then there is nothing wrong with this! Fructose is harmless, and probably the reason there are sugar restrictions when it comes to calorie counting is because not every body consumes the right type of sugar. I…
  • Mushroom bolognaise with carrot, zucchini, onion, lentils and tomato (all finely diced) on rice/buckwheat/tapioca/potato starch pasta is amaaaaazing!
  • Thank you soooo much!
  • Thank you so much, I really appreciate this!
  • I'm 160cm (5'3), and I weigh 49kgs (108lb). I do hiit and cardio workouts and I also run, about 5 days a week, sometimes more. I have tried to reach a higher calorie goal but I found I was gaining weight and struggled to eat so much food. I battle to even manage with my current 850 so atleast if I do a cut, it would…
  • I'm currently getting about 800-900 calories a day tops. I used to have way less and in my experience I could never lose much if I did that for a long time. I feel like I'll have better results if I up my intake first
