  • I don’t live in a first world country. My doctor has not told me this, at the moment I barely have money for food - let alone a consultation haha However I am vegan, and I know I have not been eating enough so this is very likely.
  • I’ve been vegan for 4 years and have tried all the variations. Raw till 4, high carb low fat, low carb high fat, low carb high protein, fully raw, fruitarian, literally errythaang. However when I realized I didn’t need to follow somebody else’s choices, I let go of my eating disordered patterns and listened to the signs my…
  • I have reduced my caffeine, for the last two/three weeks I have limited myself to only one cup of coffee a day. I wasn’t dependent before, I just found I had less desire to eat because it curbed my appetite and I also noticed I was feeling a lot more dehydrated. So instead I have been drinking water.
  • Thank you so much, I didn’t realize I was meant to eat exercise calories back too. I always thought that whatever I had burned was my caloric deficit, over and above my TDEE
  • I really struggle to fit all that food in, I make my meals as calorie dense as possible but it’s really a lot of food. I’m 160cm (5’3) and 57kg (125lbs). I am fairly sedentary during the day but I weight train 5 days a week, and go for brisk walks 2-3 times a week. I am not very weight focused, at the moment my goal is…
  • Gymshark😍 Under armor Bonds These are some of my best, super stable and good quality! All my other favourite are South African brands😢
  • I’m not really trying to lose any weight, just lower my body fat % and gain muscle. I use the chronometer estimate for my calorie goal, and it is very a similar number to my IIFYM results as well. I have been resting enough but I still feel so physically drained, like my body just wants to vegetate and not move a muscle
  • I was eating 1200 before, however the last few weeks I have gradually increased to 1500 as I am finding balance between a deficit as well as being intuitive. So yes, I have increased my calories as well as activity and I am definitely getting enough protein
  • Alongside seeing a doctor, I would also highly recommend seed cycling! It basically consists of taking flax, sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds at specific times of your cycle. What it does is balanced your hormones, which also helps with mood swings, irregularities, painful periods, and even bad skin! What do you have to…
  • Genetics I guess ? I don't mean I look like hulk in 2 days but I progressively see results/get definition and strength within at least a week of training again after I've fallen off the wagon (as an example)
  • I train my legs rather intensively, partially for that exact reason - aside from growing the booty. I also gain muscle rather quickly, so I doubt I am under muscular
  • I drink a minimum of 4 liters a day, sometimes even double that! But not a week at a time, it just depends on my activity level. Last week I barely even got to the gym, as I was away.
  • Thank you, that just saved me a tailspin!
  • Okay let's retype this... Hi everyone :) So for the past year I have been IF, 16:8 & 5:2. I have been very diligent - however I have been suffering awful cellulite. I have not been able to wrap my brain around as to why though, as I am fitter and eat cleaner than I ever have in my entire life! Last week I didn't fast much…
  • My whole section is gone ??
  • Thank you for the link, it explains so much. A few weeks ago I was getting really numb and tingly sensations in my legs and arms, even when I was moving and keeping the blood flow going. This has opened my eyes so much xx
  • There was a time of my life when I would say that I was very irresponsible when it came to my health but I feel like I am definitely not experiencing disordered eating. I appreciate the concern, however I can safely say I am not in danger of an eating disorder :)
  • I don't really think about it much, I guess I don't care but I know it's affecting my progress so that does challenge me a bit. I am trying to incorporate higher calorie foods into my diet, sometimes it just messes with my macros but I guess it's not the end of the world
  • Admittedly it was both. However I do not find that I struggle with the emotional side of it anymore. I don't feel guilty for eating or any negative feelings towards food. I merely find that I feel uncomfortable and more sluggish when I eat often
  • I guess I never really looked at things from that perspective. I tend to challenge myself and if I enjoy it, I will stick to it. I never thought it was too much but I am sure I could re-evaluate everything altogether. Thanks again, for all your input everybody it is so appreciated! Definitely got a long way to go :)
  • I used to fast without even realizing it and then one day I heard of IF did more research about it. I have it a shot and I find I feel way more energetic in a prolonged fasted state :)
  • Thank you for all your advice, I know that I need to eat more and am trying to work on it! I do not think I need to see anybody, as I am perfectly sound minded and nowhere near being underweight or anything like that. Really appreciate all the input xx
  • I have tried eating at a deficit and gradually lowering but I never saw any results. The only time I lose is when I eat below 500 calories and I find really unsustainable. My goals are to grow the glutes and lean out everywhere else. I don't know what my body fat percentage is, unfortunately.
  • I log everything I eat into my diary, and I do weigh my food so I know it's not an over/under estimation. I am vegan, and really battle to eat a lot of food - even calorie dense foods that are clean. I aim for about 30% protein which is more than enough for my height and age x
  • I am fully aware that a homeopath is not the same thing as a doctor. My family does not believe in doctors this me using the only option I had.. a doctor would give me pills and chemicals. The homeopath explained the process in which allergies develop and why my body was reacting that way. With that knowledge, I was able…
  • I am vegan, and have been for a year. Although I did it for the animals, I have seen numerous health benefits along with it. I use to have chronic eczema and was told by the homeopath that my gut would take years to heal itself from its imbalances and intolerances. Within months of being vegan, I was able to consume gluten…
  • I'm not really trying to gain, more just to lean out. I looove tofu, however where I live it's rather difficult to get (small town) and just my luck is that I'm gluten intolerant so that takes seitan off the list too. Thank you all for the advice! It is definitely super helpful!
  • @cwolfman13 I only do body weight exercises, occasionally I use dumbells. I will however be starting gym again, as of Monday- hopefully.
  • My protein sources are beans, greens, legumes, peas, broccoli and grains like oats or millet. I never ate added protein before and I've been eating high carb for so long that it is very automatic. Even though I'm trying to eat more protein, those all come with a high carb content too, thus throwing my macros off. What I've…
