It was a BIA scale. Is there a more accurate way to test this? Thank you for the link. Perhaps I am 20% after all! I will speak to my trainer as perhaps I let go of the handle too soon on the BIA
-
Thank you this worked perfectly! Although it says I can eat 1900 daily and that feels like such a lot! Haha
-
Can you explain why? I had my body composition done by a qualified personal trainer so I can only assume that this is accurate?
-
Yes I don't want to lose I want to be more toned. :) Is recomp weights? My personal trainer has a programme set out for me but I have no idea about my intake.
-
I'm.not losing. I'm staying exactly the same. I've been exactly the same weight for 7 years but have lost fat. Strangely my calorie intake has been different over the years also which is why I'm confused.
-
Thank you! How would I figure that out?
-
No it isn't. I am 10%. I thought it was 20% but ive had it done professionally rather than attempt to do it myself!!
-
I do track as best I can but I don't weigh my food
-
I'm quite active ID like to think :) I do 3 hours of fast walking a week plus 30-40 hours on my feet at work (I never sit down always rushing) so according to MFP I'm "active"
-
Well everyday I eat 1500, but once in the week I eat 2000 because I go out for a meal and I have to allow that excess so I have stayed the exact same weight since I was 17 (I'm now 24) so this tells me this is close to my BMR but I'm no expert :(
-
Yes I have. :) Well athletes can be as low as 10% and things like that so fortunately I'm healthy. O just want a more toned physique.
-
OK will do!
-
Great OK that's what I'll do!
-
I am but I'm still unsure of how many calories to consume?
-
Were you here to give any input or just here to judge? I'm not going to tell a stranger what me and my therapy discuss and no there aren't red flags at all?! I asked for genuine health advice and was HONEST about my past issues. (Big mistake) So anyone who has had a past eating disorder (bearing in mind mine was never…

Believe it or not that goal is for 0.5lbs a week :( I've put my activity to "lightly active" rather than moderate and that altered it.
-
MFP is giving me a goal of 5 weeks so yes about 0.5 a week
-
Haha I do that in a week though, not a day! I am eating 1500 calories I hope that is OK. I need to learn more as I get so much misinformation!
-
Great idea! I'll talk to them about it!
-
Thank you for that. MFP says that I should be eating 1400 calories a day if I'm lightly active and want to lose two pounds. I just used that as an approximate to see where I wanted to be. Two pounds is pretty exact but it gives me a goal at least.

IBS can be cured by cutting out the right foods. The second I stopped consuming sweeteners it went completely. 70% of people with IBS are intolerant to sweeteners. Have a look, even the doctor told me that. Second I eat sweeteners I get a horrible flare up. And my vegetarian diet is very healthy and I definitely don't…

The recomp is great advice. I'm setting up with a personal trainer tomorrow. Thank you for your help!
-
I did specify the scale would trigger for me but IM not on trial here so why are you constantly probing??? You would be perfectly happy to advise exercise except you assume I would turn that into an obsession? Do you have any idea how presumptuous and impolite that is?
-
Well I didn't want to have to end up broadcasting it to be honest!
-
Agreed, it isn't. I will work on avoiding scales, thank you.
-
Thank you!!? Thank you for your advice and not asking me personal questions about my issues. All I wanted was some health advice, not to defend myself :(
-
Gosh that's shocking! It sucks too haha because eating that little sounds so difficult!
-
I am obsessed. Not to the point where I am starving myself, checking my weight daily or beating myself up about it anymore. It's a form of control I suppose, so I am trying to remove the scales and look at exercise instead. It's difficult when "7st12" has been staring at me for so long! I want to have a healthy frame of…

Thank you! I didn't know that :)

That's very interesting thank you for that! It's clear there's a lot about this I didn't know :)
