I'd like to join in too. Maybe we should just post on a thread like this. I just started yesterday and have about 100 pounds to lose and would love to give and get support. I think all we'd have to do is give it a title and someone or the first one post and all the rest of the people just post afterwards.

I'm sorry about the loss of your father. I lost my mother and gained back a lot of weight too so I understand what you are dealing with.

Does anyone know how much surgery costs to remove the hanging skin

Hi Purl, I was just about ready to leave the group because it was too quiet and saw your post to me. Wow, that is great that you lost 60 pounds. Keep up the good work

Yesterday, I continued to work on getting the correct tension. I stitched out the test about 5 times having to tighten the tension on the bobbin each time before i finally got it right. I also set the colors in the embroidery machine. Each day i'm getting closer to being capable of using this machine

That is my largest problem with sticking to a food and exercise plan. Make a list of things you can do so that you aren't bored. Make a list of goals and work on obtaining those goals. Also, if bored you can always go work out. Good luck.

Yesterday I finished threading my 10 needle, changed one needle, put thread in the bobbin and stitched out the tension design. I see i have to fix the tension from the design i stitched out so today i will try to get the tension right and stitch out another tester. I have a feeling the tension was my exH's problem. It…

I know you are both right. I will buy a swimsuit and join the Y in my neighborhood. I know it will help me lose and get me on track. And, most important it is something i've always loved.

Knitting is a great way to keep myself and my mind busy and off of food. The domestic arts is my hobby; knitting, is easy to carry with me and do while in public. Busy hands keep me out of trouble.

Swimming use to be my favorite exercise and did it 3 to 4 x week at the YMCA. I know, I should join again. Part of it is that putting on a swimsuit would be such an embarrassment. I joined this group for the encouragement to do what is best for me and stop worrying about what others think.

I'm glad you asked this question for me to go back and do a little research. I'll try the sandwich on a cucumber for lunch today.

Hi I'm Dharma and I just joined MFP. I love life and don't want to cut it short by emotional and sloppy eating. The domestic arts are my hobby including cooking, baking, decorating cakes, cookies and candy. A lot of my other favorite hobbies also include sitting; like sewing, knitting, embroidery and quilting, to name just…

I have a boston terrier and plan on helping him build up endurance. He gets short of breath pretty quickly so i can't go far from home walking him. This is common with flat nose dogs. But, I think anything that keeps you busy or keeps your mind of eating helps with sticking to program. I am glad it is spring and i can be…

What type of sewing machine did you get and did you finish your project. I have a 10 needle embroidery machine and plan on trying to learn to use it
